  1. Hopefully the upcoming Caribbean cruises in November & December can give us any hints.
  2. It was open a few times during our Mediterranean cruise in August 2023, very early closing times though. It'll be a shame if it is closed, as it was nice option to have. I took good use of the Pavillion Grill on Queen Anne (@WantedOnVoyage, you'll be happy to know all those items are made to order, and you can see the chefs cooking it up right there.) I'm sure with the popularity of the kennels the higher ups will want it expanded into there for more revenue if the above is true.
  3. I saw this on another social site, and had to check for myself. This booking appears to be for adults only. Could Cunard be introducing some voyages exclusively for adults? It seems only this two night section is marked as "Adults only" - a Southampton return trip is not.
  4. Maybe we should email for back payment 😉
  5. Unfortunately this won't be of much help, but I figured it's still on topic. But boy do I had this comes to the UK, it's a really good idea in my opinion (would be even better if it works, it seems!) I've encouraged people in numerous social circles to try Cunard, both who have and have not cruised before. I'm not too fussed about the $100 OBC myself as I am about giving that option to someone I am recommending it to. I wonder how the system decides what cruise to give your credit to if you have multiple booked, or does it give you the option to add an existing booking reference when you create your referral link @bluemarble?
  6. That should make up for the tournament at least!
  7. Doors open at 9:30, but in our experience by then the queue is going down into the Queens Room
  8. If you want front row seats I'd definitely recommend starting a queue at 9, though I think arriving 15 minutes early you could still get some good seats.
  9. Likewise, except as a QM2 regular. Just proves that Cunard must have done something right!
  10. Bon voyage and enjoy your cruise! Looking forward to your updates & impressions on the ship
  11. So many great photos of her arrival posted across various sites today, Liverpool certainly loves their Queens! We were lucky enough to be onboard during her (I believe) last visit during the Coronation Voyage. Perhaps a little biased as I lived there for two years, but it's a great place for an overnight stay in my opinion, with shops, restaurants, etc all being so close to the dock.
  12. The only "bad" place we found with lots of noise was Deck 3 on the port side overlooking the large opening down to the lower level, as it's right by (I assume) the entrance/exit to the galley. You can hear how hard they're working with the beeping of either ovens or some other equipment.
  13. Saw this towards the end of a Cunard promotional email recieved today, so seems like they'll be fully released soon.
  14. I am unsure of which voyage you were on in May, but I was on for the maiden where they did require you to book a time slot. However for our voyages during the summer it was turn up as and when you wish, for how long you want. Perhaps this was due to a lot of people on the earlier voyages wanting to try it, I'm unsure. That being said we never felt the area was too small even when it was "busy", however I never counted maybe more than 5 or 6 people in there when we were. We opted to go early in the mornings, at around 8.
  15. I have a very similar experience. We were given a 15:15 arrival time on June 7th, but we arrived at 12. We dropped off our suitcases and I had went to the enterance, showed my boarding pass which stated Diamond, and I was allowed in. We checked in, and sat waiting with already checked in passengers. Our boarding order was Queens Grill, followed by Princess, then Diamond & Club.

    Queen Anne

Maybe this will be a "This was a problem for future me, and now I am future me" issue

    Queen Anne

I will say I think my favourite piece of art work onboard Queen Anne is (I believe) between Deck 1 & 2 Stairway A, which has Queen Mary 2 filled with animals, reminding me of Noah's Ark.
  18. For me this would be a welcome change, having loved it on the Queen Anne. The current G32 venue meets all the "requirements" for something like this to happen, too. Ignoring the height as G32 is two decks, I'd suspect the floor space is around the same if not a little bigger than QA's venue as well. This would I also assume help Cunard in regards to people's comments of QM2's entertainment needing to be changed as they've seen it all so many times.
  19. There normally is, yes. I think the only ports we didn’t have one during our trips were in Scotland.
  20. We did an organised tour last summer to the memorial & museum, it was absolutely worth it. If you take the ferry from the terminal as others suggested to Wall Street, it's only a 15 minute walk if you are able & willing. I'd say the only benefit of taking a tour with the ship (other than the ship waiting if you're late back) is the tour guide, who in our case was fantastic. They didn't take you around the museum, but they explained parts of it & explained a lot about the memorial and the One World Trade.
  21. We had a lot of photos taken during summer onboard Queen Mary 2 last year, and all turned out fantastic. We had paid to have all the photos on a digital USB stick. The team onboard were very generous given our multi-back-to-back situation and made sure our photos were kept across the cruises, all available for purchase at the very end.
  22. Thank you all for the information, this has helped a lot with planning! This is great, thank you!

    Queen Anne

I agree there could be more, but there is some nods to history - though, as mentioned, not many, and you have to look for it. Obviously Room 1840 is dedicated to the year Cunard's first ship set sail. This is mentioned on the TVs in there as well as the menus. Additionally, the Bright Lights Society is a reference to Cunard having the first (steel) ship with electric lighting.
  24. Hi all, in an attempt to help in planning something fun for next year, I am wondering if anyone knows on where Queen Anne might dock in both Singapore & Hong Kong next year? Unsure if she's marked on any of the various ports schedules, but even any historic locations could be beneficial. Many thanks!
  25. James and Red are our favourite bartenders onboard. We already knew red from QM2, but we had a great time getting to know James who came from Queen Victoria. Nothing was ever too much for them, and they even did off menu requests for cocktails which was greatly appreciated (as well as great in general!). Great people - looking forward to them being onboard for our next QA sailing as well!
