  1. Late start again today, will post photos of the daily programme once I get back onboard.

A grey but warm day in Cadiz, at least while I’ve been awake. We were allowed off just before 11am.

No walking out of the port on foot today given there is a military ship in port, but the shuttle busses are taking us to and from the ship fine.

I had this letter this morning, which is a bit confusing given I’m not booked on a 2026 World Voyage, and interestingly, my 2025 one isn’t showing up under my future voyages, so I’ll make an appointment to confirm all is okay with it later.

  2. Happy to report the show times for tomorrow have returned to 8 and 10:15pm respectively.

Unsure if this is due to the now later departure or they’ve reverted what I was told was a trial change

I guess we’ll find out when receiving the next daily programme!

  3. Well I just did our 2025 World Cruise final payment onboard, so feeling a bit surreal and definitely don’t think I’ll be extending this trip anymore!

A late start today, woken up by the midday announcement. We’ll be a little late to Cadiz, arrive at 10:30 - however, we’ll be leaving at 18:30 to make up for it.

Up a little on the blackjack today, and enjoyed a nice burger by the pool.

Tramonto tonight for a change, looking forward to that as well.

  4. A relaxing evening onboard yesterday, another great dinner in Aji Wa where I saw and felt us go into a little rougher weather as the meal went on (from 1.4m to 2m waves)

I cancelled Noir as I wasn’t particularly in the mood to sit down and watch something for an hour, so I relaxed at the bar and also enjoyed some blackjack.

I’ve actually been looking for drinks outside of the drinks package as well, as unfortunately all of my drinks from the kindness of the casino have been “free” anyway!

To counter this I’ve been recommended either Johnnie Walker blue label or champagne cocktails, the latter I chose last night.

Show time have changed for this cruise now 6 and 8. Apparently decision of the cruise director , ‘to enhance the customer experience ’ . Time will tell how popular it is . Audience for the first show yesterday could only have been around 100, interesting to see how many turn up today.

Apparently it’s only temporary, or so I overheard.

They were saying people weren’t finishing dinner in time for the shows!

  6. Grey first day at sea today, with little movement of the ship. Highest wave height so far has been 1.7 meters, so definitely not bad.

Signed up for archery this afternoon and the back of house tour again, as while I’m sure not much will change, I’m sure there’s new information to be learned + it’s a very fun way to kill half a sea day.

The watch shop had an unveiling of Rolex’s today, doubtful I’ll be making a purchase though.

  7. Relaxing evening last night at the bar, didn’t really do too much as I was rather tired.

I’ve booked the tours I fancied via My Voyage while there, after which left me with $1 OBC, so I can’t complain that my tours were covered.

During this I ended up giving 5 or 6 people directions after they assumed my loyalty pin meant staff.

It seems like last night we detoured to Plymouth, assuming that was for a medical emergency. If there’s any update on that in the noon announcement I’ll report back.

Black & White Gala this evening, planning to visit Aji Wa again with a visit to Noir later on.

We booked a b2b but booked as two separate cruises so we could take advantage of double obc/internet perks and stock perks etc and luckily [a nervous minute or two there] in the same cabin.

We will have a new cruise card but as we don't want to get off in S'ton at all, do we have to exit the ship in order to check out our cruise card and then have our new one registered or can it be done at the front desk or better still, by the Grills concierge?

    What was your experience MylesS?

You’ll need to go down to the gangway, scan your old card, and then your new one.

The new card has been given to me at least 1 night before in all Queen Anne b2b cases.

Unless there’s an in transit gangway, I wait until the final disembarkation call to swipe the cards.

Did they not do a Platinum/Diamond priority dismbarkation? (Or was it so exclusive that they didn't show it on the list?)

Each time I've been on and given disembarkation tags, they've always been purple, so in this case meaning you'd be off the ship by 9am at the latest. Given the latest is 10:20, I'd say its pretty priority.

That being said, it would be nice to have a dedicated lounge with refreshments again like they did in the past. However, with the large amount of Diamond members on the ships now, I can see how this might be difficult.

Hello. I'm hoping you good people could share some wisdom with me. We're booked on QM2 next April travelling to the Mediterranean. I'm now looking at H601 Canary Islands celebration onboard Queen Anne for December 25. I've checked the price with Cunard direct for an inside cabin and compared with a travel agent. Through the agent I can book the cunard fare for less than Cunard are charging for the early saver fare, along with $290 onboard credit.

My question is, what additional benefits would be likely by booking while onboard QM2. We will be platinum world club members. This booking will be from the UK.

Many thanks for any advice you can offer.

You’ll get extra onboard credit, normally up to $400 depending on the cruise & stateroom category, as well as a lower deposit.

  11. New cruise card has arrived today, which is a relief given I also had an email saying the payment had not been received! I’m sure that was the system being weird as it was last minute, though.

Unfortunately no lie in tomorrow given I need to collect my passport at the immigration inspection, however a very fortunate problem.
