  1. 02062024 Applicable to Ruby Princess Source: chat agent who checked, verified, and replied 2024-02-06T11:08:35-08:00, 《user》: A question, you may or may not be able to answer: Where are the designated smoking areas on the Ruby Princess? 2024-02-06T11:09:51-08:00, agent: Let me just check the list of the designated areas. One moment, 《user》. 2024-02-06T11:10:44-08:00, 《user》: Thank you. They closed the cigar lounge and made it an arcade. 2024-02-06T11:15:40-08:00, agent: Here is the updated information: For the enjoyment of the public lounges and facilities, indoor areas onboard Ruby Princess are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in designated sections of the Casino and Nightclub. Outdoor smoking areas are clearly marked and are located on Promenade Deck 7, Starboardside Aft, on Deck 16 Portside Forward near the Tradewinds Bar, and on Deck 16, Starboardside Aft near the Horizon Terrace. The Casino and Casino Bar are non-smoking areas onboard, with the exception of designated slot machines where guests are permitted to smoke only while playing at those machines. All table games are non-smoking. The Casino will also have one or more non-smoking nights (6 pm to closing), depending on length of voyage. ===End of chat
  2. The Grand has an 'undefined' sailing window in 2025, April 16 to May 5th. Beyond and before that, I don't see a break in her sailings.
  3. No doubt a product of the genius-trust of "Radiqal Gaming, LLC."
  4. This is my 2 cents worth. The cigar lounge disappeared on the Ruby during drydock, and seemingly that would appear to be the 'master' plan. (I was on the Emerald in December, and a gentleman I spoke with mentioned that he had heard that it too would be losing it's cigar lounge during DD in April of 2025.) The Discovery Princess is a very new ship, and isn't slated for drydock until October 29, 2025, until November 17, 2025. Again, I'm really just speculating, but my money is on the elimination of cigar lounges fleet wide, and the timeline for drydock interruptions. Hope this helps.
  5. The chat feature is of extremely limited value. There are to many incidences of people getting disconnected, and bounced back down the que when they finally do get a chat agent. First question I always ask is "what country are you currently located in?".
  6. I smoke. There's no reason for the awful chokefest in the Casino. It's terrible.
  7. Where are the designated smoking locations on the Ruby Princess, valid for sailings R408 and R409? I am aware that the cigar lounge is now an arcade, and is no longer available for cigar and cigarette smoking.

  9. Agree with that. There will very likely be a stable release once the masses, us, get finished with the impromptu beta testing.
  10. Poinking. Yeah, so appropriate for a login experience. Still smirking. It's a keeper.😂
  11. Superb information for us, the weary app slaves.😅
  12. I logged on using the web based laptop version, and screen captured the 'green lane' images for both of us. The old app still shows 'green lane', so next Monday will be the print-date for the cruise tags, which hopefully is still functioning. I am NOT going to enter anything other than a low limit trash card for the 'shoreside' requirement, and then only if absolutely necessary. Still waiting for Princess to add the 'opt out' box to exclude people from the arm-twisting requirement to complete and agree to shoreside transaction credit details.
  13. Not sure, but Princess providing credit details to a third party is different if you consent to providing those details. I'm sure implied consent is somewhere in the fine print.
  14. I noticed that. The Asterix applied ONLY to the zip code in your case, and similarly to the postal code for this Canadian cruiser. Odd that the *Required was clearly not applied to the fields that want completed. I hope a re vision with an "Opt Out" for the Shoreside Payment method.
  15. There should at the very least be an `Opt Out` provision for Medallion payments off-ship.
  16. Don`t forget to claim your remuneration from Princess. 😕
  17. Perhaps Princess should provide us all with NFC envelopes for our Medallions,, to guard against `unintentional transmission` information from our Medallions.
  18. Follow the money. This agreement by duress provision of CC information to `Radiqal Gaming LLC` for shoreside transactions is strongarm tactics by Princess, and thus Carnival.
  19. This was presented as a feature, to make shoreside purchases at `selected participating retailers` convenient. The new `Princess Cruises` app is making the enabling and authorization of Medallion shoreside purchases mandatory, without the provision of an Òpt Out` choice for shoreside use of the Medallion. This stinks. This is wrong. This is worth fighting.
  20. Bingo! Princess MedallionClass app has both of us (party of 2) in Green Lane Status. The `new`Princess Cruises app has produced an obstacle to my personal `Green Lane` clearance, by the introduction of the non-optional compliance with CC information for shoreside transactions. I personally do NOT want my Medallion authorized for shoreside transactions. I do NOT authorize `Radiqal Gaming LLC` to process charges to my CC.
  21. The new 'Princess Cruises' app is out. version 1.0.0-3717
  22. Upon returning to our cabin this evening, the TV was illuminated with this greeting. (The image is a still, but the fire image is actually shimmering). Nice touch Princess... nice touch!
  23. Apparently the next steps in the refurbishing of balconies is the removal of the blue plastic, to be replaced by a material that resembles the mezzanine look of the Prominade on deck 7. The newer wood trimmed furniture does look nicer.
  24. That's an interesting question, being that the vessel is flagged under Bermudian registry. How they can employ crew and circumvent US employment laws, and then turnabout and require compliance with US tax laws will be unique. The casino doesn't open until they're in international waters, if I'm not mistaken.
