  1. Though I was cautiously optimistic when we booked a cruise late last year on Celebrity to Iceland in June (bearcruise.com), we have officially cancelled. Though not officially cancelled yet by the cruise line, the handwriting is on the wall - even bearcruise (rightfully) backed out as Celebrity could not guarantee whether the cruise would happen, or even in the cruise did happen what life would be like on board or if the scheduled stops would occur. Hopefully we get the vaccine soon and hopefully the cruise world will get back to some sort of normalcy SOON! I am ready for a vacation!
  2. We booked an Iceland/Ireland cruise in June 2021(BearCruise). Though we did optimistically book the cruise, I am somewhat pessimistic that it will actually occur (or if it does occur that we will be on it). There are a lot of pieces that have to fall into place before cruising will be back to normal. 😷
  3. Great! This will be #8 Atlantis cruise for us. We really love the European cruises. Hopefully there will not be any complications involving the Coronavirus mess. I have several friends who are debating whether to chance this cruise or cancel. After the Virgin cruise, you will have to post what you thought of the ship -- I have heard both positive and negative things about it.
  4. I sailed with Atlantis on the Edge and really enjoyed the ship -- its beautiful and different, and I am sure the Apex will be the same. One of the big changes is the elimination of the main dining room into 4 separate dining rooms based on cuisine - though everyday "classics" could be found on each menu. Another area I liked was the Retreat area for Suite level cabins -- on the Edge this includes a private pool and bar area, with some complimentary beverages.
