I have never been one to get paperwork done on time so here I am. There used to be a company near me that sold hot air balloon rides, and we were in the flight path. They stopped after Covid but may be coming back. This one was making an emergency landing behind my house. I could not find the original. My sister witnessed it and took the picture. My arms are scratched up from some rather large weeds. I get winded easily after this respiratory virus which I suspect was COVID. Oh well. I do enjoy working outside when the heat and humidity are low. Expecting temperatures in the upper 80s later this week. I was in Seattle on the Eurodam several weeks ago. Bon Voyage @luvteaching! Happy Saturday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Rainy today so no outdoor activities. I do need to weed the garden beds so maybe tomorrow. Have to get the veggies planted. Perhaps I will get some indoor stuff done that I have been putting off. Yesterday an alarm suddenly went on in the basement. I could not find it anywhere and had to get to my dentist appointment. When I got back it had stopped. When my sister got home, we looked everywhere for an alarm and found nothing. The sound was coming from the ceiling. We eventually found it. It was a smoke detector that was on the table underneath a bunch of stuff that had been taken down to be replaced. It was one of those 10-year detectors telling us it was dying. My sister decided to smash it with a hammer to make sure it was absolutely dead. That was my adventure from yesterday. My pictures from Victoria from a few weeks ago. We didn't get to see much as we arrived around 8 pm and then were delayed for about half an hour getting off the ship. Our horse drawn carriage tour was then cancelled, and we had no other plans. Happy Friday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Dentist appointment today. Well, I am excited as I started an itinerary for next October's road trip to New England. I know its a bit aways but I like planning trips. We will be stopping in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. We may extend it for a stop in Rhode Island. Right now, I have a 9-day trip planned but that could change depending on how much more time my sister can take off. I am trying to make it so we do not have lots of driving in one day. Once I get the dates from my sister, I will start making the hotel reservations. This will be fun. In 2027 we will get back to cruising. Having gotten my degree, I am now facing the inevitable paying back of my student loans. I know for sure that at my age, they will not be completely paid off before I leave this world. Oh, well. Happy Thursday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. A little cloudy today. No rain today but will rain tomorrow and Saturday. Fancy will be happy today as she will be able to go out. She does hate the rain. I am making friends with a herd of five deer that have taken up residence behind my home and my neighbor's home. I came face to face with one the other day as I happened to look over my back fence and he (has small antlers) was munching on the bushes behind the garage. We stared at each other as I said hello before he ran away. Earlier, Fancy had growled and barked at him trying to protect me from him. We also have coyotes and foxes that run through occasionally as well as groundhogs and raccoons. Quite the zoo. Happy birthday @cat shepard and @P&PNH! Happy Anniversary @Horizon chaser 1957! Happy Wednesday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Rainy day today. Fancy is not happy as she likes going out and laying in the grass in the sun. Working on class stuff. Also planning my road trip for next year. We will be driving up the New England coast. We will have about nine days. Still trying to decide on the stops. Definitely Bar Harbor because we want to go through Acadia National Park. Also, Cape Cod. I am thinking about a few more stops as we want to spend at least a day in each stop. Happy Tuesday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Back to work. Feeling somewhat better. The cough is slowly decreasing. Still a little congested. Working on grading today and seeing clients. I am also working on several presentations. I will be traveling to Las Vegas in June for a conference and then in October to present at another conference in Philadelphia. I also am doing a virtual leadership presentation on June 12. Keeping busy. My doctoral degree has been officially conferred. I am waiting now for the diploma. The lingering cough will probably be around for a while. Hope to get the garden beds weeded as this coming weekend we will be getting our vegetable plants. I need some outdoor time. Fancy wants me outside too. Have to be careful as there are very large groundhogs, raccoons, and coyotes that are running around our property. They all seem bigger than Fancy. Happy Sunday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Well, I got my sister sick now, so we are both coughing and feeling yucky. I feel somewhat better, but this cough is hanging on and we both sound awful. We decided to do our grocery shopping via Instacart so we shall see how that does. It is a nice sunny and cool day today. If I feel up to it, I may try to weed some of the beds to prepare for vegetables. Another year running late getting the vegetables in. Hope to get everything in next weekend. I have been to Halifax twice. In 2024 on the NCL Sky and my very first cruise in 2022 on the NCL Pearl. 2024 on the NCL SKY. Happy Anniversary to @Norseh2o! Bon voyage @wdw1972 and @Haljo1935!
