Happy Thursday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. When it rains, it pours. My car is now out of commission until I can get it to the mechanic. Engine light is on. I need to baby this vehicle for another several years if I can. It is paid for with low mileage for a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. Good thing I work from home. I picked up another field experience cohort starting in November. This will keep me busy. At the other university I will be teaching a class with a grand total of 1 student. They will not cancel the class. I guess i am a private tutor now. Oh well. Thinking of all on the care list. Celebrating with all who are celebrating. Have a safe and healthy day.

Happy Wednesday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Very bad weather yesterday here. Had tornado warnings and spent some time in the basement with the fur babies. It rained so hard that you could not even see across the street. There was a reported 68 mph wind gust here at one point. No damage here though. In my area there were about 4 tornado warnings. We never used to have tornadoes in this area. They seem to be coming more frequently as we had one on July 1, 2025, as well. Looks like I need to lay in supplies just in case. Work is still going. Been busy with a lot of different things. Hope to get to the farmer's market on Saturday. Trying to change my diet to get off of medication. Medication may not be affordable soon. Started walking on the treadmill again and have lowered my carb intake. So far some positive results. Thinking of all on the care list. Celebrating with all who are celebrating. The second part will be doing some training and working on my business. Patiently waiting for the 2027 cruise itineraries to come out (I know, won't be until next year for what I am looking for). We are considering a river cruise at some point here in the US. Probably around New England, Pacific Northwest or Alaska. I want to try very small ship travel. I celebrate World Chocolate Day every day, although I have cut back as I am working hard to get my diabetes under control and off all medication. Thinking of all on the care list. I have a few papers to grade which I will do after food shopping. Really working on cutting my budget and saving my pennies. I expect my health insurance premiums to skyrocket over the next year or so. At this right, I won't be able to retire until well into my 70s. Luckily all of my work I can still do even when I am in my 70s. This week I hope to get the clutter in the basement organized. I am over summer at the moment. Thinking of all on the care list. Happy Saturday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. I am still catching up on the Dailies from when I was away at my conference and was saddened to read of Roy's passing. He will certainly be missed. I have had too many pets that went over the Rainbow Bridge and they all continue to have a special place in my heart. I did not celebrate yesterday. I had neighbors shooting off large fireworks close to my home even when it is against the law to shoot them that close. Poor Fancy and the cats were a mess. This past week has been very busy as I am rebooting a business and was building a website. I enjoyed it even if it is lot of work. My small vegetable garden is all planted. I hope to have extras to donate to some of the food pantries around my community. Hoping to get more involved in mutual aid work in my community as well. In a few weeks, I will be attending my virtual commencement. A final chapter in my formal education. Learning is lifelong however, and I will continue to learn as long as I continue to live. Happy Sunday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. I am back home from Las Vegas. The conference was wonderful, and I was able to network with a lot of colleagues. I must say though that I am not impressed with Las Vegas. Just not my cup of tea. It is nonstop and always busy. My room faced the Omnia nightclub, and it was loud until the early morning hours, so I did not get much sleep. I was able to see the Bellagio fountains which was neat. Food was expensive and to me, not impressive. I had a Gorden Ramsey burger, and it just tasted and looked like something I could get at Red Robin's. Coming home was somewhat of a nightmare. I was up at 4:30 pm PDT and did not get home until 9:30 pm EDT. I got to the airport on time, had breakfast and sat at the gate only to find that the gate changed and that the flight was delayed. The flight kept getting delayed. So, my 10:00 am flight did not leave until after 12. The reason was because the plane was coming from Dallas/Fort Worth where huge storms impacted flights coming out of there. Then when we arrived in Philly, we got to the gate area and had to wait until the ground crew set up which took a while. And then today I took a hard fall in the basement and landed on my left hip and shoulder. Nothing appears to be broken but it will be sore, I am sure. I went to Glacier Bay twice. May 30, 2023. Happy Sunday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Finished up some yard work today. Busy weekend. I have mostly packed. Traveling from the hot east coast to the hot west coast. Doesn't matter if it is dry heat or humid heat, it is still way too hot for me. I have been through two bouts of pneumonia, at least two outs of Covid, several bouts of bronchitis throughout my life that it is now harder for me to tolerate this heat especially trying to work in it. The school Where I teach follows Arizona time which does not follow Daylight Savings Time. I am on the east coast. My brain is being challenged as I post the time for all time zones as students are scattered across the country. I never know if I am scheduling this correctly. We shall see. Happy Monday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. I have been so busy that I forget to post. Spent the weekend at several local celebrations. It's been raining all day today. I have been working on class grading all day. Tomorrow, I start a cohort of practicum students in the counseling program that I teach in. I love teaching field experience because each week we have a live supervision session. Fancy was at the vet last Monday. She needs to lose 4 pounds. We had her Lyme Disease titers done and today the vet called and said that they went up. So, she has an active infection yet again. She is getting her monthly tick medication monthly. She will probably have this infection for the rest of her life. She is not showing signs other than an occasional licking at her joints. She is back on antibiotics for a month. We will recheck in 6 months. I am preparing for my trip to Las Vegas to attend a conference. I am staying at the Flamingo Resort and Casina. I am not looking forward to temperatures in the 100s. Tomorrow I am taking off and going to Longword Gardens for the day (closed today). My plan is to relax and enjoy the gardens while taking pictures. I am not planning on doing any work tomorrow. Our vacation plans for next year have changed somewhat. We will now spend a week in Bar Harbor ME. Our plan is to hike in Acadia National Park, do a whale watching or nature cruise and just spend time shopping and site seeing. A little late getting them into the ground. Have a bunch of stuff that I need to order online for pick up as they were not in stock including a gate for the vegetable garden and window well covers for the basement windows. Also need a new power washer to get the siding and fencing clean. So much to do. Also, vacation plans have changed for next year. I will keep you posted. Happy Saturday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. Been busy with chores today. Food shopping, cleaning. and some yard work. It is too hazy, hot, and humid today and with my recent respiratory virus, it is hard to do anything outside. We have been having off and own showers. Tomorrow picking some stuff up at Lowes. Also been researching the area where my sister might be transferring to the end of next year. Plainfield CT. It is a rural area which I think is nice. Just have to get used to the fact that things won't be as close as they are where we live now. Just have to see what she will be offered and what moving assistance they will provide. I already got licensed to provide telehealth counseling in CT. Since I work from home, it won't be a big deal for me to move. Thinking of all on the care list. My sister is considering a transfer to another branch of her work as they are building a new warehouse in Connecticut. She stated that they would pay for the move. It is an option to consider. I have never been one to get paperwork done on time so here I am. There used to be a company near me that sold hot air balloon rides, and we were in the flight path. They stopped after Covid but may be coming back. This one was making an emergency landing behind my house. I could not find the original. My sister witnessed it and took the picture.
