  1. I looked them up and the google reviews i found were 2 star maybe 3?
  2. Can anyone recommend from experience a transfer service that can pick me up from the hotel and take me to the pier 91, then after the cruise take me from the pier to the airport? I will either need a bus that can take 8 or multiple vehicles. Anyone i seem to find on the internet have horrible reviews. I would prefer not to take the cruise shuttle if possible. Thank you for your help!
  3. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen but I am taking 8 people on a cruise if someone can’t get off work and can’t go but there is at least one person in their room what does rccl do? I know about my options like insurance but just want to be sure that if it is 7 that show up at the pier and not 8 that they don’t cancel everyone’s reservation.
  4. I chose it for the kids and me but thank you for your input. i understand as on the upper level suites on edge class on celebrity that I normally get would prob buy me 2 cruises in an upper class on the older ships
  5. Celebrity does not have anything like that as far as I know for the Central Park type area Eden which is only on edge class and a specialty restaurant probably comes the closest but that’s still a big difference
  6. Thanks so much i have to put everyone in their each set of rooms or they will bicker even at 20 something years old 🙄
  7. What are the free dining rooms? is the ice skating or water slides extra? If someone has sailed both celebrity and rc what would be the main differences also any ideas on what to suggest my 20 yr olds to do and what would a old lady and guy (early to mid 50s) could find fun? i usually sail in upper level suites in celebrity so I’m used to everything being in the cruise price. I realize it won’t be that way in a balcony on royal so trying to budget so nothing gets missed due to $$.
  8. Hi all! I am a Celebrity Elite cruiser coming over to Royal for a family vacation with the 8 of us total. My kids and their SO's are all in their mid-20s. We got connecting balcony rooms on Icon of the Seas for the Caribbean in April 2026. ANY advice or tips is greatly appreciated as the last time we sailed Royal was in 2009 in Alaska. Thanks!
  9. Was on the Beyond in an EV on the July 13 sailing. TO answer your questions: All Retreat luggage dropoff is the same area, no special area for Upper level. I have been told it gets priority, but since I always get it before 2 or 3, never asked others if that was before theirs. Yes Upper level suites get escorted on the ship and to their room. Be prepared for some weird looks though. My escort walked in front of a group about to get on the ship, showed the person at the end of the embarkation "tunnel" (the walk to the ship) our reservation on her Ipad and said that she was going to lead us to our room, walked us right past the huge group and took us all the way to our room. The first person in the group was not "thrilled" to have us step in front of her, but didnt say anything as far as I could tell.
  10. Thanks! Not bothered by the veranda/IV difference as I figure as small as the ship is I will have plenty of places for outdoor viewing. Just wanted to be sure there wasnt any bad locations/rooms.
  11. Find this interesting topic to read. When I was on my last cruise on the Beyond, I met some RC Diamond (not sure if they were +) at Le Petite Chef. When we got together later in the cruise they made a point to mention that they were D and were trying out Celebrity. They were some of the nicest people I have met on a cruise, but I did find it odd that they didn't just say "I am a normal RC cruiser and decided to try Celebrity" rather than tell me their status. I just hit Elite after that cruise, but it never crossed my mind to say what status I was. On another note, I don't think they will be back to Celebrity, they liked the RC 5 drink coupons and didn't want to spend the $$ on the drink package, as well as a few other "nickel and dime" things that Celebrity does that RC doesn't.
  12. I have a sailing next August for the Flora. The Suite guarantee is $600pp cheaper than the Sky Suite with Veranda (currently cheapest room). I looked at the deck plans and there doesn't seem to be a bad spot on this ship with how small it is, but wondering if anyone has sailed Flora and can give me advice if I should move up to the SS w/Veranda. Thanks!
  13. DaKahuna and D1000 are mentioned with their responses/questions.
  14. No clue, but figured at least the posters would want to know they made a MSN article 😄
  15. Some of the long time posters in this article! https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/tripideas/celebrity-cruises-makes-a-bold-move-to-improve-its-drink-packages/ar-AA1oznko?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=9fd6f6ad72d24886b4ddf0af7f4850e9&ei=26
  16. Hi, I have been on Celebrity twice now but always had Select Dining. This next cruise I am looking at only has Late Dining. This can be a dealbreaker as we don't eat that late (East Coasters sailing in Alaska). Can we do Select Dining in the MDR even if we are assigned Late? I know we can use the OVC but would prefer not to.
  17. For my July 13 2024 cruise the Beyond left at Pier 25 and I think the Reflection was at Pier 2. You should have it in your cruise docs though.
  18. Mentioning the pjs. The 2022 cruise we were told there were shipping issues and we did not get one. The 2024 ABC cruise we just got off on July 21, we did get monogram pjs and I would definetly recommend a size up.
  19. Below is a picture of the retreat team card i have not used them much but they, the butler, and the room steward have been excellent.
  20. They are set up with plenty of space and loungers but there is a lot of lounger holding i have been told by others that they do uphold the 30 minute rule but I have not seen it as I have my own lounger on my balcony should the chair hogs be too bad.
  21. The health questionnaire was open 24 hrs before the boarding. granted I’ve only sailed twice on celebrity but it’s always been 24 hrs before for me
  22. Apologies as I didn’t see this question access to blu is decided by the maitre’ d and I have been told on a space available basis. i did blu one night on my last sailing but I didn’t like the menu or the close seating so I have not asked this cruise
  23. They asked us which level we wanted luggage delivered and we told them 16 as it’s right outside your bedroom. The dinner at Le Voyage was free but the tastings was not. I would suggest if you aren’t already to do one of the rooms where there are four. I think it’s 15100,102,104 and 106 as they have a nice patio area (at least on the beyond) right outside your room that is completely shaded with chairs and couch. The ones on the other side (0dd numbers) on the way to luminea and I would assume get a lot of traffic. Now a tip, if u are on the edge and apex there are no patios on either side (was in 15101 on the apex) and there is no foot traffic on either side because luminea in on deck 12 For the noisy question the answer is no for 2 reasons as the solarium roof is right outside our door so not many loungers there as well as the full retreat sundeck is another floor up. even though it’s another floor up for the sundeck they cannot look down on your balcony because of the design so it’s completely private.
