  1. Thank you for posting this - although I am still utterly confused.  We just booked for June on the Seaside with the All In promo with WiFi.  My mom likes things like Cosmos - can be made with well brand spirits - but can you get a mixed drink.  Things like a pina colada or frozen daquiri.

If not what is the cost to upgrade?  But also where can I find current drink prices to know if it's worth upgrading or are we better off just buying a few drinks a la carte?

The Seaside looks beautiful with lots of cool bells and whistles I think my kids will like - but I am starting to feel like maybe we should cancel between bad reviews (which I take with a grain of salt) and just feeling like it's pulling teeth to get accurate info.  Sorry for the vent - but I am honestly just so confused about things it has left a sour feeling in the pit of my stomach ...  Thanks for any clarification.

  2. We will be sailing on our first Disney Cruise in 9 days on the Disney Wonder 6-night sailing out of Galveston.

My girls are intro princesses - so I didn't want to land in Tiana's or Triton's (one loves Tiana one loves Ariel) on formal night when they can where princess dresses) on pirate night.

Pirate Night is night 4 of our cruise after Grand Cayman.

If we are in AP on Pirate night - and if we will be in each MDR 2x on a 6 night sailing - will we miss one of the shows in AP?  It's our First Disney cruise and we want to enjoy as much as we can.

Too many you tube videos 😉

    Thanks for letting me know!

    Ann 🙂

  3. I am on the Disney Wonder November 2-8 and booked a tour with CayTours.com. They have a West End Highlights Tour for $40 per adult and $20 per kid that visits Hell, The Governor's Residence, The Tortuga Rum Cake Factory, a Caymanian Cottage and the Turtle Farm. I posted it on our sailing's FB group and we filled a bus. He is supposed to pick us up at 12:30 and the tour should be about 2.5 hours - and bring us back to the ship.

  4. Hey Cruise Critic Boards!

It's been a while but I am back.

So excited! I just booked our family's first Disney Cruise leaving November 2nd from Galveston - 6 nights on the Wonder.

    Some background:

    Mom (Ann) - 43

    Dad (Michael) - 44

Twin Girls Riley (9) and Morgan (9)

We will be celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary. We were married November 14, 2003 in Disney World - so Disney holds a special place in our hearts. We will also be celebrating early our girls 10th birthday which is on December 8th.

Mike and I have been on several cruises - mostly on NCL - and have enjoyed them all. We took the girls on their first cruise last year on NCL out of Los Angeles of the Mexican Riviera - with 2 days in Disneyland before hand. It was a a fantastic trip with Grandma and Poppy along for the ride.

We moved from NYC to Dallas 4 years ago (We were the Recession poster family) - and this will be our first cruise out of Galveston.

So I am not a new cruiser - but new to Disney Cruise Line - and new to Galveston. I am really looking for tips to help us make the most of the trip.

    Some questions:

    - We just deposited and are waitlisted for early dining. Any tips on how we can get moved to early dining. My daughters will not do well eating at 9 pm.

    - Do you think there will be a Character Breakfast on a 6 night cruise with 3 sea days (I know it says 7 nights and longer - but 6 nights is pretty close).

    - Is there a certain dining rotation I want to request?

    - Are there any tips to making the most of the Christmas cruise?

    - Best excursions for our family in Cozumel and Grand Cayman - typically I don't book through the cruise ship.

    - When to book character greetings?

And honestly - any tips you have to making the most of this much anticipated and long for trip - please send them my way!

    I really appreciate it.

    Have a magical day!

    Ann

  5. Very excited to be going on the Jewel with my Mom on March 12th for her 70th birthday. It will be my husband's and my first cruise in 10 years and our twin daughter's first cruise (they just turned 8).

We have cruised NCL before on the Norwegian Sea, Norwegian Dawn and the Pride of Hawaii.

Since it's been so long, I would appreciate any new tips when sailing NCL - first time with kids.

Also - if anyone can share the Dailies from the Mexican Riviera Itinerary or recent menus - particularly for the Complimentary dining rooms - that would be so appreciated.

Thanks so much for your help and tips!

    Ann
