I haven't found a TA that can offer me anything more than what the cruise line offers on their website. For that reason I do my own bookings.

You're not looking hard enough, and you're missing out on lots of potentially good perks. The TA agency I use (can't name them here) gets me lower rates than NCL and better perks.

i have an android and use WhatsApp.  i can do texting AND phone calls with that app with my 150 minutes.,

...okay now I'm confused...The 150 minutes will cover me for work if they allow WiFi calling. I REALLY don't want to have to spring for the upgrade to streaming/unlimited ($200+), but if you can't do WiFi calling on the free minutes I'll have no choice. Any iPhone users out there?

We were just there a few days ago and they did have Platinum and above report to a specific location (on the Getaway it was the Illusionarium). It was very easy and a great perk!

Great to hear! As my first NCL cruise since they gutted the Latitudes benefits, I was very much hoping they'd at least have kept this one. The tendering process on the big NCL ships is so unpleasant that without it I'd probably stay on the ship.

No, I assumed since his was taken that meant no electrical appliances in staterooms.  Dont you think they would have offered one since it was obvious we wanted one? as in something like "we are unable to allow electrical appliances to be brought on board but we can supply one if you would like"

You just can't bring your own. NCL provides approved coffee-makers that meet their safety standards.

I just sailed on the Norwegian Joy and neither tea kettle nor coffee maker was in the stateroom.  My travel partner had packed an electric tea kettle which was confiscated during boarding and held for him until the end of the flight, referred to as a prohibited item.  Everything about the cruise was perfect so this was disappointing.

    Did you ask for one?

So, you “used to” do that. But you don’t now. So you get free internet???

No, nobody does. There's the Free at Sea promotion (not really free). Like I said, I used to be able to book a BX Guarantee cabin with no perks, but I'd get some free Internet minutes because of my Latitudes status. That is no longer available, and if you book a BX Guarantee cabin the only way to get Internet is to buy the package directly.

You could take a thermos and fill it each day at the buffet with the hot water they provide for tea. Our stainless thermal drink holder keeps hot beverages hot for 24 hrs.

The problem with using the coffee pot provided in the room for just hot water is the water tends to taste like coffee.

You have to take out the little plastic disc thing that holds the coffee filter.

They give a discount on the purchase of internet packages (20% off for Sapphire)

No, it's not like what I used to get. I used to be able to book a guarantee cabin with no perks but still get Internet minutes because of my Latitudes status. I don't really care about the sparkling wine, but that was a seriously cheap nasty move by NCL re: the Internet.
