Our daughter and her family have a suite on their next cruise. Which dining room is for them? I read somewhere that they have access to a special dining room with an expanded menu. Does she need a reservation, or is it anytime dining? Thanks for answering.

It has been several years since I've cruised. Deck 7 was always my favorite place to lounge around, and walk all the way around the ship.
It appears that on the Discovery Princess, deck 7 no longer has loungers, and you can't walk around the entire ship anymore.
Is this true? No chairs?

Food looks good. Which nights were formal nights?

When should we arrive at the parking lot in order to secure a spot?

Looks like the first cabin after a suite. Is it obstructed? Or extra small? It looks like the bulkhead curves around part of the balcony.
Anyone know?

Hey, thank you to everyone for your responses!

Special Needs At Sea and Scootaround want name, address, phone, e-mail address, and ship information with date of sail BEFORE they will quote a price.
I'm not really wanting to give them all that information.
Will someone tell me what they charge for a one week cruise? Any ball park figures would be appreciated.
Thank you.

We took some candy with us, and sure enough, we had some little trick-or-treaters knock on our cabin door!

I know that Princess requires a doctor's note for pregnant cruisers.
Do they require one for 93 year old?
(And before you ask if she's pregnant - - obviously, NOT." LOL

Thanks Rob.
I'm sailing with some real "sleuths." They read murder mysteries and other mystery books all the time, and are quite good at figuring out the guilty.
Is the heist difficult enough for them?
Is there a prize for winning?

Our last cruise (on CB, August 2018) I saw "The Great Heist" in the Patters.
What is it? What is involved? Fun?

Thanks Tioga for the heads up. Didn't think about that.
Does Princess rent wheelchairs?? On board??
-
I posted this in the "Mexican Riviera" port forums, but thought I would try here too.
We are sailing with a 93 year old who wants to shop the Malecons. The heat and humidity will tire her quickly. Does anyone recall seeing wheelchair rentals at either port? (She has refused a wheelchair for the cruise, but would consider one for shopping at one port. She is an amazing woman; more like 60 than 93, but also -
stubborn.)

Does anyone remember seeing wheelchairs for rent in PV or Mazatlan (for use at
Malecon)?
93 year old would like to shop, but with the heat and humidity, she won't last long, especially walking outside and to multiple stores.
We tried to talk her into renting one for the entire cruise, but she said, "No way. I don't need one."
Anyway, hope some of you can recall seeing rentals.

Which port has the Malecon? Princess' website excursion information shows trips to the Malecon at both ports??

We were on the CB earlier this month. We were told to watch a muster show on the television, and that it would be recorded that we had watched it. Just wondering if this will eventually replace attending muster at your assigned station? I doubt it, since they want everyone to know where to go in an emergency. But, wouldn't it be nice??

Thanks to everyone for the information! :D:D

When does Princess start Christmas decorations? Snow in the atrium? Christmas foods? Santa?

Thanks to all who chimed in. I totally forgot about the LA traffic.
Any idea how much Uber would charge? Or Super Shuttle? Taxi?
How far from LAX to San Pedro Port?
We're meeting family who are flying in to LAX; arriving 1:00pm. I think this is cutting it pretty close given there might be delays, traffic, etc.
Guess I better see if airline tickets can be changed; fly in the day BEFORE the cruise, eh?
-
We are not using Princess EZ Air, but want to use the transfer. How late can our flight arrive on day of cruise?

Dramamine!! The trick is to take it regularly; this means setting an alarm for the two middle of the night doses! Don't miss them!
Also, If your stomach is full of liquid only, this will increase your nausea.
Best wishes.

Okay, thanks for responding. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I just noticed on the website that you can plan a reunion with their "with friends"
option. It's at the very bottom of their page. Looks like you can open a forum-type page, enter everyone's name, and then all can post, book cabins next to whomever they wish, plan group get togethers, etc.
Has anyone used this? Does it work well?

Thanks everyone for the replies. We enjoyed the movies in the Princess Theater too. Sorry to hear that has ended.
