Very good comparisons here. Royal has the diamond lounge for breakfast and light bites in the evening. This includes the first night and 4, 5 or 6 drinks can be used anytime. Celebrity no happy hour drinks on night 1.
@Billy BalticYes he didn’t deserve the generosity. The housekeeping supervisor gave us a letter for 15% off our next cruise. He did not debate that service has declined.
Recenty on Mariner. Requested morning service however cabin steward arrived around 2:00 or later. We had to track him down to exchange wet towels. Bathroom floor was dirty upon arrival and his response was “I was busy”. No apology. Had to call housekeeping supervisor. Dirty glasses left behind. No extra tip provided as he barely performed the basic service. Next cruise on Celebrity. I hope it goes better.
The cutbacks are very apparent.
On Mariner now. For lunch and dinner a “kid” friendly section is available in the windjammer. Chicken tenders, French fries, Mac and cheese, hot dogs.
Many adults are also enjoying those items. You’ll have plenty of options.
On Royal now. They have a 1 year policy. Celebrity has 6 months for book later.
The next cruise desk explained to me the difference in the two offers/companies.
