  1. Same. I’m going to be annoyed if my wife has one more CC point than me.
  2. Not normally. Going by the Anthem group on FB, they do sometimes do Statue of Liberty pass-bys, at the Captain’s discretion but it’s not typical because it’s further into the harbor than the cruise port. I don’t think you could do the North Star then anyway, since it has to be down for the ship to go under the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge. North Star can be used while docked, but it was raining on our embarkation day so no good views. (2nd pic is debarkation day so no North Star then either.)
  3. What survey? Edit: Never mind, scrolled back. Cruise Critic notifications have been terrible lately, didn't realize there was activity in this thread.
  4. They have not advised Americans not to travel to Nassau. It's a level 2, "use increased caution" warning. Level 4 would be "Do not travel" https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/the-bahamas-travel-advisory.html If the cruise lines are going to make boatloads of money in the Bahamas, I don't see why the Bahamian government and people shouldn't benefit from that too.
  5. It’s a little funny/sad that this is considered an “amenity” worthy of mention. Especially when it’s something available elsewhere on the ship for free.
  6. This looks like it covers drinks purchased on-island as part of a drink package (which is really the only new tax I can see), but I have no idea how they would determine the value of the complementary food.
  7. The Eagles have denied it outright. And they sued the hotel a few years ago.
  8. I’m glad to see the aerialists performing, The Two270 show on Anthem (Spectra’s Cabaret) has omitted them recently.
  9. I'm way more invested in the dog story than the cruise. Hope everyone makes it & the dog is ok!
  10. Celebrity still has two tiers of Internet service. I’m curious as to how that works when they visit CocoCay, I’d suspect they won’t go out of their way to throttle Celebrity lower tier folks if they are even set up to do that.
  11. It’s open as of last week’s Icon Inaugural cruise. I would grab that price! It’s currently $55.99 for my August Celebrity visit (5% off!). Plus 10% Bahamas VAT. Can’t even say the heated pool is a draw then.
  12. I concur. I’m adding this class of ships to my cruise bucket list.
  13. True - just as ugly, but at least not hanging off the side.
  14. At least that’s not as bad as that ugly SkyPad wart on Odyssey.
  15. Lots of people make cocktails at home, I would use the bar tools... not sure I'd need a carrying bag for them though.
  16. Interesting the difference in Q class ships, in Dec. the Anthem crew did caroling standing on the Esplanade stairway, not in Two70.
  17. Just keep in mind for the MDR menus that the app shows you the menus for the current sailing of the ship even if you are looking at yours. If the current sailing is the same number of nights and itinerary, it’s likely to be correct, but if not it could lead you to plan your dining options poorly. See this recent thread for an example.
  18. You can, but I don’t think that will give you what you want, since they’d have to have Internet access as well for you to be able to reach them outside the app.
  19. Yes, but prior to that it's not much of a benefit (YMMV, of course - some people may only want/need a day or two).
  20. That seems to be the most useless benefit to me since I want to be connected the whole cruise & it's overall cheaper to get the wifi package pre-cruise.
