Btw that looked like one helluva Halloween Party!! "Fall themed" beer, you guys are KILLING ME!! I've never heard of something so AWESOME. "Fall themed" beer on St. Thomas, oh boy here we go.🤭😁😎😁 I can come down next October😎 and rent a condo or something along those lines and stay a month. In the event I can't find a cruise for next fall. I would never come down and stay 2 or 3 weeks, 2 weeks just piss me off. A month maybe 60 days, that'll get cobwebs out anyway. There's many islands I've been to but I'm not sure I would want to stay on one or at least not for a few weeks that's for sure. St. Thomas ain't like that, I could go and stay there for weeks mind my own business do my own thing and the rest is nothing but chillin and nothing but fun. St. Thomas your home, I am anyway and I don't feel like that on really any other island. For example when I get off the ship say in Grenada I feel like s--t every time. San Juan Puerto Rico I get off the ship I'm instantly nauseous, I take one look Pepto time.🤮😁🙄😁 Thank you

Btw Cap's Place I've walked by there several times and went in there and bought a brewski back in 2013. I know exactly where it is right behind Cruz Bay going left . Thanks for all the pictures. POST MORE, Thanks.

OMG that place is AWESOME!! How beautiful is THAT!! The perfect Caribbean bar. Damn that's nice!! I'd keep it simple Ms411 Taphus to Windmill Bar and back and forth. Right and back and forth and so on and so forth and on and on and on and on. Well we all know now St. Thomas and STJ are not short of great watering holes. Really nice one's too. Ms411 thank you for the pictures. Taphus is simply beautiful.

New rum from Cardows NICE!! I guess everybody's jumping on some type of rum, vodka or bourbon bandwagon. That's ok we'll drink it. Sounds yummy!!
-
Mamajuana I've never heard of that, sounds wonderful!! Yep that's right up my alley. I want one right now.😄 What do they do Ms411 drop a couple of big buds into the blender and incorporate it into the drink like they do on Cooking with Weed on Netflix? Love that show. My sister tries to cook with weed I'm not sure she knows what she's doing so one way or another I end up smoking it all.😵💫😁😎😁 One quick question is the Rock City Beer good? Or was that another one of my stupid questions? Thanks Todd Do you have a favorite local craft beer that you think stands out from other craft beers. Thank you

Which one has the good burgers and fries?? Frenchtown Brewery? Thank you. I'm writing all the names of these bars down you guys give me. I know where all the beaches are, I love going into new bars I'm unfamiliar with especially in the Caribbean. Yes it's alot of transportation that's why you go to Riise and by a bottle of Belvedere take your cup out of your softsided cooler with ice and make your own drinks between bars and beaches. Craft Beers are wonderful, but I'll take a Stella all day long for years and do. Thank you for the info.

Damn!! That certainly is nice I don't believe I've ever read this before. It's helpful to someone old posting to the message boards. Thanks learn something new every day. 🌟🤜🤛🌟

Cosol or Herod. Google them. Best 2 tickets on St. Lucia for a full day Land and Sea Tour especially if this is your first visit to this island. I've done both of these a couple of times, it's no lose either way you go. These both are top shelf tours with excellent guides. Have fun.

In all due respect(really), Brew and Beach tour? I've been doing that on my own all over the western hemisphere for the last 25 years. Unless your unfamiliar or maybe this is your first visit to St. Thomas I would never book(a tour ship or otherwise) to drink and go to the beach, ESPECIALLY on St. Thomas. Ms411 has given us the entire run down on St. Thomas Bars and Beaches. Dude forget the ships tour take Ms411's advice go hit the Taphus downtown for a couple of drinks, catch a taxi to Sapphire Beach have a couple more drinks RIGHT, on the Beach!! Catch a taxi from Sapphire to Redhook take the ferry over to St. John and take your pick Trunk Bay and the beach bar, or the Windmill Bar that Ms411 has recommended which looks AWESOME. The Windmill Bar doesn't have a beach, in this case it doesn't matter the views of the ocean make up for it.😁😎😁 2 hours before your ship disembarks start heading back to Crown Bay. Plus this way your on your own schedule, your not confined to a tour🫤 especially on St. Thomas. Take your $$$, make your own itinerary no shortage of bars or beaches(nice ones), and go have a time.🌟😎🌟😎👍

You enter the beach right beside the bus stop. You can't miss it. Amsterdam Manor will be on your left just walk down the ramp to the beach. I would rent a chair and palapa as early as I could. I think 2 chairs and a palapa $25. You want to try and get a palapa relatively close to Passions the beach bar.🤩😁 It's straight ahead right in front of you. Eagle is a big beach once you get your palapa and chairs in the middle, you can go either way on the beach. Take the city bus it's across the street from the port you can't miss it drops you off right there. Bus ticket I think is $2. Best ticket in town. You wanna take a taxi that's fine I was just trying to save you some $$$. Take the bus. Have fun.

PayPal Cosol?? Pay at the end of the day when your tour is finished, like all the rest of them. Cosol Herod Spencer pay at the end of the tour plus a BIG TIP. They appreciate it. 👌😎.........😎

I just walked in the middle, I know what your saying it is sectional. I can't tell you about walking in on the left section or down on the right I'm sorry. I walked right in the middle and it kinda caught me off guard how soft the bottom was very flat. I rent a lounger and palapa right beside Passions Beach Bar which is pretty much in the center. Never a problem in or out of the water. It changes though. I don't want to tell you one thing you go there and find out something completely different and you get mad at me😋😄. I'll try and find that out for you because I would like to know too. Beautiful beach though great for walking, Passions is one of the best beach bars in the Southern Caribbean. Btw Eagle is a HUGE beach I can't imagine not being able to find a place where you can walk into the water without blowing your knee out. I'll see if I can find out something on that for us. Take care.

Ouch $70(US) sounds a bit high. I don't know anything about the Hyatt on Palm Beach, Eagle Beach I've rented a chair and palapa on several different occasions $20. I don't do Palm Beach made that mistake once and I'll never do it again.

Eagle Beach walk right in and walk right out.
-
Who cares it's Orient Beach!! Go rent you a lounger, an umbrella throw on your birthday suit and go have some fun. The further you walk down the beach the more birthday suits you'll see. Speaking of throwing better throw some sunscreen spf 50 on those cheeks, among ummm other thingys.😁 Lotsa fun gotta have that spf 50 though that's key or OR you take the taxi back to the ship and your hiene has been burnt off. Seen it, dingbat(my girlfriend) did that like 3 visits ago. She didn't want any tan lines!!🙄 Both cheeks and the back of her legs got scorched, but no pun intended she didn't have any tan lines. 😳

You went to the wrong bar.😁

I would at least try going on down to Turners. Depending on how many ships are in port, they're may not be that many people down there. Wonderful beach, excellent water great little beach bar umbrella and chair rentals clean restrooms. I thought it was quiet, our CC group we had a blast there, Lawrence took us it was part of our tour. I've been to all 3 beaches you have suggested if it were me Turners. Hope that helps.

Are there tube or floats for rent at Magens Bay?
TTEllis replied to Sun Lover's topic in St. Thomas/St. John
Several from our CC group brought they're own noodles with them. I've never seen anyone renting any type of floatation anything at Magens. "Populated"?? Any more than 3 ships in port total at both piers. Plan B Plan C or Plan D. 5-7 ships in port on St. Thomas. From the time you get in the safari van at Havensight spend your day at Magens get back on another safari and get back to Havensight you've been through 18 different types of hell. Magens Bay is awesome, water beach atmosphere and vibe and views are wonderful. Everything else sucks.😕 -
Traffic returning to ship in afternoon
TTEllis replied to Sun Lover's topic in St. Martin/St. Maarten
Definitely stay until 3pm, from Maho back to the gangway on your ship with traffic would be no more than at the most 40 minutes and that's pushing it. Don't just get blasted by the jet engines behind the fence😎. Maho is not a real big beach but the water is incredible. While you're waiting for that A330 to taxi take off and blow you out into Maho Bay you can go out and enjoy the water before hand. Water and snorkeling are great. Don't forget CHEAP SUNGLASSES. Have fun. -
I've stayed at all of them on A1A, off Las Olas. I always book an early flight to FLL so I can hit the beach and happy hour before dinner. Many times I arrive at the hotel just around noonish. Check in isn't until 3 sometimes 4pm. The W, The Westin, Courtyard Marriott on Seabreeze, The Ft. Lauderdale Sheraton The Hilton. They all hold my luggage never an issue before check-in. I put a pair of shorts and a wife beater in my backpack. Taxi drops you off go straight to the front desk. Tell them what's up never a problem and I'm across the street on the beach by 1pm LATEST drink in my hand toes in the sand listening to Van Halen on Las Olas Beach. It's never failed me. Try it when you get back make sure you provide us a review. Thanks

Go to Sawgrass Mills have lunch, check out the mall. Cheesecake Factory at Sawgrass Mills is awesome always a nice afternoon.

St. John beach on our own from St. Thomas port
TTEllis replied to bioengr's topic in St. Thomas/St. John
Trunk Bay, restaurant, bathroom with lockers and showers. Trunk Bay will never fail you. $4 entrance fee is a very minimal charge to have access to this beach. Don't think go have fun. -
Traffic returning to ship in afternoon
TTEllis replied to Sun Lover's topic in St. Martin/St. Maarten
Yes. That's plenty of time. 2 1/2 hours from Maho back to the pier is more than enough time traffic or no traffic. Traffic can get hectic but nothing that would keep you from making it back to the ship in time. Have fun. -
Yummy that's a great idea. I always carry an empty bottle or BIG Cups😁🤩😁. "Cask Strength Rum" that's a treat. Direct from the distillery? Your killing me, that sounds wonderful and a GREAT way to start you day on Dominica. Fill your cask up and THEN take a tour, first things first sip real deal rum all afternoon in the backseat of a taxi van and go see the island. That's Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C. Thanks PORT ROYAL.

Why do you think I keep coming back!! I can mind my own business with a big smile on my face in lovely weather, and do whatever I want. It's almost like that in Ft. Lauderdale. Ms411 you've heard that crock of total BS, saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"? That's the biggest cockamamie crock of BS I've ever heard in my life.🙄 I don't do Vegas my buddy's do, they go to Vegas every single thing they have including themselves stays in Vegas in jail their not broke their bankrupt because they left everything in Vegas. NOW, what happens in the islands definitely stays in the islands especially on St. Thomas. I don't blend in but there's so many other cruiser's it don't matter. Always wear a hat and sunglasses tilt my head nobody knows me.😎😁😎 Chill have cocktails all day long whatever or where ever I'm going, I can smoke a blunt walking around anywhere NOBODY CARES. In an atmosphere and environment like St. Thomas got any better ideas fire away in the meantime see you soon.
