Perhaps you are not aware that the port of Boston is a real working port, in addition to accommodating cruise ships. There is always Miami or FLL if you want to spend 10 or 15 minutes in luxury prior to boarding your cruise.

For one hour, on just one night, I'd not be bothered, esp. with it ending by midnight. If it was a night after night thing for the duration of the cruise, perhaps. I have never seen party after party late at night on any of my Celebrity cruises. Not all Celebrity cruises have these sparkle or white night parties on deck anyway, my understanding is they are fairly infrequent. Just because I decided to "stay for a while" which would have been after 11, then decided to retire to my room, doesn't mean every other guest has to do the same. At the end of the day, it concluded by midnight not 2:00 in the morning.

I get that you are unhappy but I am pretty certain that no one at Oceania “forced” you to do anything. You found a cruise you liked and obviously booked and paid knowing full well what you were doing. The price went down after, it happens, often.

Agree and with the size of those big clunky menus, compiling them into one, perhaps with the menu cover reflecting the venue, would be so much more efficient for all.

Couldn't Celebrity very easily add the HH drink credit(s) to the sea pass of those eligible?

I get what you are saying, from your perspective. But for me, it's the opposite, I don't drink alcohol or soda, at all, so this package is the perfect one for me, it's presses all the buttons. There will always be things we don't like etc., as a solo cruiser I can make a list. I like to cruise so I pick my battles when I do.

whatever you pay now for any package, drinks, wifi, dining shore excursions etc can always be cancelled and repurchased if/when you see a lower price, you can do this up until 48 hours prior to the cruise. Also, I believe (??) the elite discount is 15%.

I no longer drink alcohol, but when I did, I found that the package is worth the cost if drink 6+/pd. This includes alcohol, specialty coffees, San Pellegrino water etc.

It happened to me in Luminae on the Summit last year. I was solo and seated at a window table facing into the dining room. A couple at the table ahead of me, husband back to me, wife facing me, camera propped on tripod and action! I asked my waiter to ask the man to please move his camera so it was not facing me. To the camera guys credit, he did so without issue, he and his wife changed seats. If he had just been taking a photo or asked his waiter to take a photo, no problem, but for the camera to be facing me for my entire meal was more than I was willing to endure.

And for them and many others, it is now their livelihood and sole means of income. As a result they have become relentless, they gave up their regular jobs during the pandemic and they are not going away. I don’t need Steven Spielberg type equipment in the dining room or fitness center.

You are correct, and I don’t follow those or ever comment on a picture of “oh my god that looks so amazing” picture of a vanilla ice cream apple crumble. Now the person with their camera mounted on a tripod aimed at my table while they chew and describe…yea please stop.

Correct, and same can be said for the pictures they use in the cruise planner for specialty dining.
