  1. I hope so. The devastation that hit the Bahamas is hard to even see . It looks like it was nuked. The US is sending in Military troops for search missions, as well as the Coast Guard. Food and medical help is there, or on the way. ONLY the USA is there at every disaster that hits. Americans are a good and decent people. They get little recognition for what they do. My sister worked for an International charity for years. Americans--YOU-- feed half the people on this earth. American missions are all over the world. If they have to use another port until the Bahamas are back on it's feet, will it be Key West.? The Fascination used to sail to Key West out of Jacksonville. We took that cruise one time.
  2. Is it SEA? I found a Hampton Inn, but it did not say anything about a shuttle to the port? Could someone recommend a hotel with a shuttle? Thank you so much. We live in Florida and while we cruise a bit, obviously, we don't fly a lot.
  3. I always try to get a cabin near the Mid Center Elevator. Never been bothered by noise.
  4. Thank you all for the advice. I will start checking as of today. My grandchild is well behaved, but until she is a little older, I try to get one for them. As we are older, they usually go with us. When they are Platinum ( hope we make it!) , my worry about that is over!
  5. We are going on an Alaskan Cruise Next June, God Willing. I was looking tonight for a Faster To the Fun to buy for My daughter and her Family. The board said Sold Out. Is that normal? Do they put them on sale later? Are they all already gone? It is not the end of the world, but I hope it opens again. Thanks for any information .
  6. Thank all of you for the excellent advice. NOW I know what to buy and pack. We live in Florida. When the weather goes below 40 we get advisories. Someone told me that May and June is when you see whales. Now that is exciting!
  7. We are going on our first Alaskan cruise Next June. We have sailed on the Miracle and the Legend. I know they are the same class of ship. The photos of the Legend after being in dry dock are lovely. Has the Spirit had the same? Second Week in June. One week round trip from Seattle.. What would you pack? Where would you stay at the airport if you flew in a day early? Thank you in advance. Most of what I know about cruising I learned from this board. It is a true treasure.
  8. We are sailing on the Carnival Spirit in early June. Is it still cold in Alaska at that time of year? We are taking the cruise out of Seattle. Does anyone know a good Hotel near the Airport? We will fly in a day early from Orlando. Thank you for any advice.
  9. we were on the Elation this past March. It was also Spring Break for Florida. We had a great time. People were mostly from the south, very nice. Trivia was good. Shows were good. It is not brand new, but then it does not have 5,000 + people on it.
  10. We are going to Bermuda in Sept. Thanks for the Review. We will be on the Breeze.
  11. I enjoyed reading your review. Thanks for taking the time to do it.
  12. We were on the Elation in March. A lot of us had a great time. It was crowded, but no issues with people. Everyone was nice. Carnival needs bigger pools. Other than that, it was great.
  13. Thanks for the review. We are on the Breeze in September.
