Just got an email from Azamara announcing the "exciting" news about Tony's new dual responsibilities as Relief Food & Beverage Manager and Hotel Director on Azamara Journey. Sounds like some cost cutting going on. Who will replace Tony as Cruise Director or will he be doing that too??? Stay tuned.

Just had our June cruise on Quest cancelled. Last year we had seven cruises cancelled including a Seabourn cruise which took 104 days til we were reimbursed. We're not off to a good start for 2021😒
-
Great news. They finally got the sister they were missing🙂

Totally agree. Azamara needs to bring Bonnie back to give us all support and be our sounding board. We certainly are not getting that from Azamara. Losing Larry was bad enough....

I remember seeing the SS Norway end up in Alang India after many plans to save her failed and the usual chopping off of the nose as the start of scrapping. Always sad to see any ship face demise, but all part of the circle of life I guess.

We loved the SS Norway and were planning a second cruise on her when her demise took place. Such a sad ending for a beautiful ship.

You are so fortunate to live in a state which has heeded what the experts have advised. Living in Texas has pretty much been a nightmare. We have a conscientious county judge who is constantly being mocked and assailed by our governor because he has urged the public to do certain things. As a result of the governor not taking more stringent measures, our state is in trouble. It's a little like being trapped in a repeating movie. My husband and I feel very fortunate that we are retired, have nice homes to retreat to, etc. What we really want is to get back to cruising! Unfortunately, the way things are going--and because others cannot seem to follow expert advice, we will have to suffer along with them. I really resent the current administration trying to paint a rosy picture when it is anything but.
Ditto, same problem with our gov in Florida.

Before we got our main refund for our March cruise after 99 days, we had registered a dispute with our credit card - that may have "hastened" our refund. Still waiting for our refund of fees & taxes which Seabourn said could come in the next 30 days.

That's so weird. Such an easy thing to document!
When we called Seabourn (after getting our refund for the cruise itself), we were given a different figure (less) than our actual total for fees & taxes. After waiting 15 minutes while they checked, they said our figure was correct. But, they couldn't give us a date when we would received it as a credit even they have it in their records. Another 90+ days???

Well after day 100, Seabourne finally refunded our credit for our cruise but not for the port charges & fees, still to come I guess.
We'll just have to wait a bit longer. Thanks so much JPH814 for keeping this going. Have a great vacation.

Hello all. So good to see the valve is open at Seabourn.
I appreciate all who have made contributions to this thread. I think we got out of it what we wanted...a sense of how fast/slow the refunds were processed and a sense of camaraderie for those of us waiting. As such, I will not be adding any new cruises to the list. I will finish posting any refunds for the next few days. it looks like we have 16 open cruises from 14 different posters. I imagine some of them may have been refunded and the poster just has not gotten back to us. Oh well...
As mentioned, I will be heading to the beach for two weeks and leaving this all behind. Here it the latest:

I know! It was 2 B2Bs with seperate booking numbers, because at the time, it saved us £££ to do that when booking. However, the second leg, being a simple transatlantic with no flights on disembarkation should be very easy to refund and pay out with the first leg.
I have now entered that exclusive club of 90+ days and still waiting, nothing this morning 😥
We are leading that "exclusive 90+" club with 95 days as of today. Spoke to Seabourn yesterday and was told we are still in the final phase (auditing?) but could give us no idea of when we will get our credit. Earlier this week, we finally registered a dispute with our credit card company, we'll see if that gets us any closer to final refund. If not, 100 days coming soon! We loved our first Seabourn cruise, but not sure if we will ever book with them again after this fiasco. Stay tuned....

Am I allowed to feel both happy for those getting their refunds and angry that I haven’t gotten mine?!
How seabourn can process refunds for cruises in April, May,June or even later, when people are waiting for March cruises is beyond me.
but like I said I am happy for those who received their refund!!
rob
Totally know how you feel. We are at over 90 days, and when we call Seabourn , they say it is being processed but can give us no date to receive it. Most others who cancelled on 3/9 for the March Encore cruise have gotten their refund. Makes no sense!

So I was looking at our spreadsheet. The three people who have had their cruise fares refunded were the three earliest cruise dates (March 14, 22 and 22). It would be interesting if we could hear from Cruzluvers, Sunburned Tongue, TV24 , Twinkles or JKWestlake. These 5 had the next earliest cruises (between March 22 and March 31.) I do not know if they have not gotten refunds or if they just did not come back here to update us. If any of them read this, please give us an update
Interesting that all the people we were tracking for Excursion refunds have received their refunds.
We are still waiting (day 74)
and had hoped there would be refunds coming today - but so far nothing.

Congrats Rambo Trout, We and four others seem to be "next in line" according to date of request. 😊

I am too, and wish I had an answer. I know lots of planning has gone into the Azamazing Evening and I was really looking forward to it. I think it would be a great cruise.
There are just too many unknowns for conjecture at this point. What countries will be allowing cruise tourists? Will there be flights? A vaccine isn’t likely by then; will there be good therapeutics accessible to everyone? Will there be a seasonal aspect to this thing?
I’ve read that RCCL has a Sea-mask in the works, but don’t know who or what that’s planned for.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but realistically, also hoping that if this one doesn’t happen, the three sisters Azamazing Evening would be replicated before too long.
Melissa
Our fingers & toes are crossed too but to early to tell. Que sera, sera!

We are booked on a B2B which includes an Azamazing evening in Koper, Slovenia with all three Azamara ships. Because of the current corona virus situation, what are the chances that this will come to be. 🤔

I guess the "good old days" are gone! We were on Azamara in 2014 when the ship broke down the the cruise had to end. They flew everyone from the ship to Shanghai at their expense, put all guests up for two days at the Hyatt on the Bundt and then flew everyone home at their expense.
We were on that same cruise. Azamara could not have handled it any better. We then got full reimbursement plus a nice discount on a future cruise.
What to change in the "new" Azamara?

No please don't take away our library. It is the best on the high seas. No other cruise line comes close and we have cruised on some of the "luxury" lines.
