  1. Indeed it does. You can't argue with math and you can't argue with economics, although some people try. It's mind-boggling.
  2. You're missing the fact that embarkation day is much more than a half day unless you're not boarding until 2:00 or something. For us, we're on board at 11:30, and the transition to "vacation mode" usually means we're drinking as much on embarkation day as any other day. Definitely more than any port day for sure.
  3. Yes, that's called profit maximization, and its microeconomics 101. Selling more photos at a lower price point will not increase profit. I absolutely guarantee you that if Carnival would make more profit by lowering prices they would do just that. They've already done the math, I assure you. A corporation with over $18 billion in revenue surely knows its profit maximization price. I guarantee you they have studied this six ways to Sunday.
  4. I doubt it. There are some things that can't be fixed.
  5. We agree. They will constantly adjust to maximize profit. NOT to maximize sales or revenue. Joe817 might have a fantastic plan to maximize sales or revenue, but that's not what it's about.
  6. Not on every ship. At least not yet. It's in the works they say.
  7. Well yes, you absolutely did. You can try to justify it all you like. The very fact that you had to sneak it in is a clear indication that you're well aware of it, too. It's ok to be morally bankrupt, but there's no point in lying about it. We all know better and you're not fooling anyone.
  8. So you want people to lie, cheat and steal from you, too, is that right?
  9. So I guess they have no ethics or respect either.
  10. Correct. And because the chefs table takes about three hours it's not going to be very late seating you.. not going to be much later than 6 o'clock if at all.
  11. I mean the first full day at sea. Not departure day. We left Seattle on Tuesday, our chef's table was on Wednesday.
  12. Ours was on elegant/formal night. Didn't get to choose.
  13. I think so, let me check when I get home tomorrow.
