  1. Feb 24-28, 2020 Mariner of the Seas from Port Canaveral to CoCo Cay and Nassau, Bahamas. Seems like a lifetime ago!
  2. We sailed on Mariner out of Port Canaveral Feb 24-28, 2020. Ship is very clean and bright. Easy to find your way around the ship. Promenade is great with a nice sports bar - can't recall the name though. The Ice show is great and the theater is nice and big - entertainers were great. We only ate in MDR on the 1st night and food was great. We ate in the Windjammer other nights and the food selection there was very good. The upper pool deck is really nice with huge covered loungers. We were able to find a nice quiet spot to spend our sea day. The cruise we were on was a Green Bay Packe
  3. I agree - we love Bermuda I think this is a great option good for RCI and good for Bermuda.
  4. You all have been so kind! I appreciate all the help. I am currently researching Glacier Bay as well as the Inside passage. I think we would probably get a balcony cabin that's what we have had for the last 6 cruises. Had 1 aft Balcony and that was really great! Again thanks so much for all the suggestions! If any of you ever consider Bermuda let me know - cruised there 5 times and it never disappoints! Praying that we will all be cruising again sooner rather than later. It was just last year this time that we left on our last cruise to
  5. Glacier Bay seems to be coming up a good bit - so I am definitely going to look that up and research it. Much thanks. Yeah I have considered that - its definitely an option but would be a 3 week trip at least -which isn't bad actually.
  6. You all have given me some good things to consider - The suggestions of clothing and layering I hadn't considerred as well as rain. I have made some notes and we will be doing some research - planning is half the fun! Much thanks!
  7. Flying itself doesn't bother me - its the fear of crashing. I did take the Fear of Flying Class from USAir in the late 80's and was fine and able to manage/control it up until 9/11. I flew once a couple years after that and haven't flown since. I don't drink so . . . well you get the idea. Thank you for your suggestions!
  8. Much thanks - I have actually looked at this - The time by train and car are just too long when you consider round trip. So I am going to suck it up and fly to save the time. I have flown and I can fly - I will just avoid it if at all possible. So for this trip I will fly so that we can go. Hopefully we can find a direct flight or minimal layovers.
  9. Once we are vaccinated and Covid is in the rear view and we are able to cruise again, we are looking to take a cruise to Alaska. We have cruised 9 times via RCI and Celebrity throughout the Caribbean and Bermuda, but we have never done Alaska. This would be a once in a lifetime time trip so we want to make it count. What are recommendations for: Departure Port Ships Length of Cruise Balcony vs Ocean View or Inside Ports Excursions Best time of year for cruising to Alaska Anything else to consider? Want to make the most of this
  10. I used the iPhone suggestion and it worked - it will be interesting to see when we get an official notification
  11. We have a GTY balcony booked for Feb 24 2020 sailing on Mariner to Coco Cay and Nassau. Received our cruise docs an the the luggage tag included still has no deck # or cabin # assigned. When will we know our cabin and how will luggage get to our cabin without a deck or cabin # printed on it? This is the first time we have ever cruised with a GTY cabin in the past we have always picked our cabin up front. Any insight is appreciated.
