Palm vs Eagle beach and Edwardo’s beach shack

Wow. Thank you for such a fast reply and thank you for all the info. Now to decide :?) Thanks again!

Palm vs Eagle beach and Edwardo’s beach shack

Hatteras, so far the only places that I have been able to find for chair rentals is Coco Loco (which doesn't sound too promising), Paradise Beach Villas (where we will have to go to their pool bar to get food and drinks and probably have to pay to use the restrooms), or a vendor near La Cabana. Are their others that I have missed? I am afraid we have been spoiled by experiences like Kontiki in St Maarten where we had our own servers for drinks and food and a convenient restroom/changing room available. In addition, we are retired seniors so searching a beach for vendors sounds a bit daunting. I'm not keen on day passes but beginning to wonder if that would be the best for us. Thank you so very much for all of your postings on this board. We, the readers of this board are in your debt for all of the information you have supplied us with. Thank you much, Nancy

Beach Experience near St Thomas Flyboarding

Thank you but as I understand it, if Princess isn't sponsoring a shore excursion with him then he is free to book with you independently. However, I believe he has an agreement with Royal that their passengers will have to go through him. That's the way most of them work.

Beach Experience near St Thomas Flyboarding

Thank you all for the info. Rigo from St Thomas Flyboarding called me today. Not sure if this is true for all Cruise companies, but he said that they are still in the process of recovering and are currently only taking reservations via Royal Caribbean. I had made a reservation via their website but they he going to cancel and refund our money. Rigo was very nice on the phone and I have read nothing but good about his instructions. Still, DH and I don't often do ship sponsored shore excursion, plus, the cost with Royal is $169 for each participant and an additional charger for any observers. Granted that will cover your transportation, but I think you still only get 30 minutes with the instructor and then it is someone else's turn, whereas the tour is for 3 hours so I suspect the rest of the time you are waiting on others take there turn. A lot to consider.
  5. Have booked a session with St Thomas Flyboarding for DH. Would like to add a beach with rental chairs and umbrella for before and afterwards but don't have a clear picture of what is close-by. It looks like they are close to and/or affiliated with Island Beachcomber, but it also looks like they close last year? I saw a review that mentions a bar and restaurant close by but didn't name the facility. Can anyone who has been there give me an idea of some options close-by? Thank you much for your help, Nancy

Can't Log In (Again) any ideas?

SOLVED! Thank you all for your kind, helpful and humorous comments and support. In the past clearing history and cookies did the trick, but no longer. I finally borrowed a computer running windows 10 and Voila! So an extra thank you to Oceansaway17. It works over and over again, using Windows 10. Ticks me off but at least I have my answer now :( Thanks again to all of you! Nancy

Can't Log In (Again) any ideas?

Thank you all for your responses. It means a lot. At least it helps in the "I know I'm not crazy (I think?)" department :?) . I tried again this morning and no go so yep, I'll have to do it blind as you suggested. Thanks. But its comforting to know that their are people out there that will take a few minutes of kindness to help a frustrated stranger. Thank you again!
  9. I have been unable to login (again) for the last few days. I have used the (recommended) IE, as well as Chrome and Firefox. I have also tried Firefox in Private mode and Chrome in Incognito. I have also tried it with a different computer (my husbands) and a different account (his). I also can't log in to my Celebrity account. It's like, I put in my email and password and on IE it just sits there. I lost the stare competition after about 10 minutes of waiting. On chrome in the bottom right of the window was a progress message "can't connect to aws-prd.api.rccl.com", some kind of Amazon SW thing. On Firefox it also had a message but it was simply can't connect to royalcaribbean.com (over and over again). IE just sits there ... I tried changing my password and I received the email to do so and went through the process but it still didn't work. So I called the number for website help twice yesterday and both times all they could offer was to change my password. Again. They logged in themselves without any problem but for me the new password still didn't work. I asked them when I might hear from a tech person and they said something like, it could be days. (As if I'll hear at all) I was hoping it would be better today, but, no. As a last resort I emailed C&A and received an auto response. I imagine they will follow up with me but this isn't really their area of expertise. So I'm not sure what to try next. Anyone with other recent solutions to recent log in problems? Sheesh. I swear Royal has (and has always had!) the most problems of any website that I have ever seen. Bar none. Thank you for your time, Nancy
  10. Yesterday when I logged in to Royal online and then went to my cruises there was a new interface. I had to dig my reservation numbers out of my email but finally reconnected with the three I have upcoming, but still can't find my Saved Cruises. Anyone else having this problem and figured it out? Thank you much! Nancy

    AJ Meddy tours?

I noticed Meddy is on tripadvisor under 'Attractions' but the others like Sunsation, Mandoo, etc are listed under 'Activities'. I've been meaning to email Tripadvisor about this. Anyway, I think one of the problems is that I don't think Grenada is quite as common a cruise port as is a lot of the other ports so it doesn't get as much activity, including tour operator discussion. Which may skew the apparent popularity of the tour guides. Have fun on your cruise! Nancy
  12. I really appreciate each and every one of your responses! I would have responded myself sooner but I didn't realize that I hadn't subscribed to my own thread so didn't realize until now that you all had responded! I really especially appreciate your reassurances about those lifeboats and your points about CC class versus the ext $. I am still torn about 1A versus C2. It's hard to know if it would be worth the extra money. 9215 opened up so I snagged it as I think I'd prefer to be one deck higher. Meanwhile I am monitoring the C2 prices daily. :) Thank you all, very much! Nancy
  13. While I have done my research and understand the general thoughts that concierge class isn't worth the upgrade ($400 more total for 14 nights) I have concerns about the blocked views by the lifeboats below 8252 and although as I understand it 1247 would be even further back over the lifeboats, it is also on a higher deck. Throw in the tiny perks of the foot stools, shower heads (I think) and embarkation benefits, etc and I am torn between these two rooms. BTW, we have been RC AFT lovers so Celebrity Eclipse and the hump are new things for us. Does anyone have pictures looking down at the water from somewhere near these two balconies? Yes, I have read the cabin sticky and the "GRAND ..." thread and have seen lots of pictures but I still can't find any that help me picture the view from these cabins of the water or the differences between them. Thank you very much for your help! Nancy
  14. You have a cabin on the flat of the hump. If you go almost to the end of page 27 you will see links to most of the pics. Click on the link to 7280. If you look at the deck plan for Silhouette on the Celebrity website you will see that this balcony is very similar to yours, just on the other side of the ship. 7266 is another example but it is on the end and yours is not. The hump cabin balconies are considerably larger than regular sized balconies although some people feel their view is obstructed because they can't see around the corner of the flat. The lifeboats are not considered an obstruction by Celebrity, although many on the boards would agree with you. That's why a lot of folks choose cabins on higher decks to minimize the view of the lifeboats. The footstools come with concierge class rooms only. Hope this helped a little. Nancy
  15. DH and I are really, really struggling to choose between these 2 cruises next November. The Vision is a very good price and includes some ports we might not first think to visit like: Istanbul, Mykonos, Valetta, Cagliari, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon and as a treat, Athens. The Splendor might be a tighter fit to our schedule (although do-able) but will be much more expensive. However the ship has received much better reviews and the ports appear to be more obvious favorites: Venice, Rome, Barcelona, as well as Santorini, Katakaloni, Bari, Naples, Livorno and Split. We are frequent RC Caribbean cruisers but this will be our first MED cruise and based on the cost of the airfare I'm not sure how many more chances we will have to cruise the Med. Is the Vision as bad as I've been reading? We like a small ship (love Serenade) and enjoy a good deal as much as anyone, but every cruise needs a little WOW and will we feel like we had a good deal or will we end up disappointed? Will the Vision itin be disappointing? We enjoy history and culture but I have always wanted to hit the med big three, Venice, Rome and Barcelona. Then again, Istanbul sounds pretty exciting. Do you have recent experience with both of these ships or some of the ports on both Itineraries? If so please help. We are REALLY stuck. Thank you much for your time and your help! Sincerely, Nancy
