Good morning everyone. I feel silly asking but I was MIA for so long. Did Smitty lose her husband? Its very hot out but I’m starting to reclaim my life.Its almost 7 months since Sam dies and 4 since my brother died so it’s been very hard for me to get out and go places.. I returned to my book club and today heard a lecturer speak on how to handle stress. Planning to go play bingo Wednesday and did go to the theater with my family and out to lunch for my birthday. Grieving takes a lot of energy, it I think I’ve turned a corner this week. Stay safe everyone, Carol

I just went back to read some of the posts I’ve missed. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes on June 26. I had a great day starting with my book club and then out to lunch with friends.The weekend before, I went with my children and one grandson to a local community theater to see the musical Nine. Good morning everyone. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and granddads . Missing my father who died in 1973, way too young at 66, and my kids are missing their dad, Sam, who died 6 months ago. Praying for peace and an end to all wars. My grandson and his parents are heading to Israel when the airport opens and I’m very nervous for their safety. Stay safe everyone.

Good morning everyone. Today is six months since Sam died. My leg stitches are all out and the wound is healed. Now I start lymphoma massage. Compression socks itch something awful. Prayers for all those on the care list. Stay safe everyone.

Good morning everyone. Wishing all the moms a very happy Mother’s Day tomorrow. This week was my mother’s heavenly birthday as well as my daughter in law who died at age 39 in 2015. That plus Mother’s Day and the recent deaths of Sam and my brother Gene have made me very reflective. I’m so grateful for the many blessings I have and have been concentrating on my many good memories.

Good morning everyone. I had a fabulous seder with my family Saturday night. There were 10 of us including 4/ of my 5 grandsons and the 5th was on zoom. It was a number 10+ day for me and I needed that badly. When the 2 grandsons left Sunday morning I immediately felt sad and realized it was one month since my brother died and four months since Sam died. This thing called grief comes in waves. One day I’m fine and the next day sad. I joined an online grief group run by David Kessler, the foremost grief expert now who worked with Elizabeth Kubler Ross and I’m finding it very helpful.

Good morning everyone. I’ve been distracted taking care of paperwork again. My wound on my leg is improving in size from one inch deep but very slowly but at least it’s in the right direction. I’ve joined an online grief group so I can deal effectively with Sam and my brother’s deaths. I’m doing ok today. Grief comes in waves and I never know when. Stay safe everyone.

Good morning everyone. Going to have my stitches hopefully removed today and praying the wound has healed and I won’t have to keep going back for wound care.

My wound hasn’t healed and my stitches can’t come out till they check again next week. My daughter will live stream the funeral for me on Sunday. Thank you all for your good wishes.

Good morning everyone. Last night I got word that my brother died . He was in hospice so while not unexpected, it was still a shock. It’s just 3 months since Sam died. Today I get my stitches out but I’m not sure I’ll be able to make the trip for the funeral.

Good morning everyone.i e been missing in action because I had a freak accident in the local library and have 20:stitches in my leg. I’ve had to temporarily have an aide 24/7/to help me. Stitches out tomorrow so hoping to regain my independence.

I slept sitting g up in my lazy boy chair last night but I did sleep.No urgent care. because all they do is throw antibiotics at what is a virus. Good morning everyone. It’s 4 degrees here now. I’ve never seen such low temps. I can celebrate grandpa day and his life because Sam was a wonderful grandfather to his five grandsons, having a different and special bond with each of them. I never knew my grandfathers.

Good morning everyone from 8 degrees in New Jersey.My parents were on vacation years ago when a squirrel came down their chimney, ate through the wood banister and the carpet and died under the couch. It caused so much damage. Sometimes they eat the electric wires. I won’t celebrate a squirrel day. Stay safe and warm, everyone.

Good morning everyone. Waiting for the snow and freezing temps. I have several MD appointments this week that might have to be cancelled. We get plowed if we get over two inches of snow, otherwise my driveway and the roads in our community are a mess. With the freezing temps expected I might just hunker down inside this week and plan to reschedule everything. Stay safe everyone.

Good morning everyone. Annie, so sorry to hear about your horrible loss yesterday. Prayers for you and Penny’s family. Took my car to the mechanic and it turns out my tire light went off everyday because there was a puncture in the right rear tire. They will deliver er the car back to me later today. I will miss my current events group this afternoon but the news is so awful I don’t need it to add to all I’m dealing with.
