Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Just off Vista concierge 10029. We did hear neighbors when they got really loud one night having a card game or something. Also heard the crew early morning in the hall; but nothing that any other cruise has had. Felt about the same as other O ships. I could see the tv being an issue for some it is mounted on the wall and if the bed were against it but we didnt hear tv from either side. I would not hesitate to book again, best shop layout of them all.
  2. Just off Vista. Internet was not the best; better than before but we could not stream video content from within a web page. Doubt zoom would have worked. Speedtest showed single digits to .05. Port days we used T-mobile as it had most countries included and was fast and reliable.
  3. Still currently on Vista. Some days table service only some days you can also order and get a number. Seems to depend on the crowd. Today is an at sea day so more people in terrace so both are available. Either way you get to sit and enjoy the wait….where else ya gonna go anyway!
  4. On now. Table service; much better no waiting they give you a number and find you. Have not stood in a line yet!
  5. No hogs so far; sea day plenty of spots. Lots or nooks and crannies with spots. Perhaps timing matters. Usually when school or work is out Caribbean cruises get a “different crowd.” There have also been specific announcements about saving chairs but again so far plenty of spots. Sure if you want right by the pool there fill but there are so many spots on the new layout. Complainers gonna complain. FYI food thus far has been above what I remember on other Oceania cruises.
  6. Just had amazing eclair and apple beignet in Vista bakery. Added space around the corner from the wonderfully sized library is much better than the smaller baristas. Great use of space and flows nicely. I suppose it could get a bit crowded if it’s everyone’s thing but that’s with anything. Today no lines and I see them baking behind the counter.
  7. On Vista now….everything worth booking was sold out before we even booked! We consider the excursion credit a perk and if you can use some good for you. We are waitlisted on a few but probably won’t get in. must say thus far (ok only 6 hours!) Vista is great! Even terrrace for lunch was better than I remember. Bakery and baristas awesome. Layout good. Yes prices are higher like everything can’t compare past with the present. Easy to get wine at lunch that is a bigger perk than excursion credit.
  8. The excursions have not caught up to demand. They fill up too fast so the credit is worthless. We booked 3 months out and nothing is available so it’s useless “credit.” Wine is a plus but we will e definitely come out worse price wise. As stated on every thread discussing this it’s a price increase.
  9. Concierge priority specialty booking is worth a few hundred dollars as we like non sharing tables. On the larger ships spa terrace is much nicer. All in all if those are important then yes. Our next cruise in Vista the difference was about $300 total for both of us. And better cabin placement.
