  1. We cruise NCL and Carnival. We just went on the NCL Getaway in February and had a wonderful trip. The ship was beautiful, we got the perk of free specialty dining and free drinks and had great meals and wonderful drinks all week. We love Carnival too. Honestly, for us, I find Carnival to be more expensive in the end. You may pay more upfront when it comes to adding the drink package fees and whatnot on NCL but we didn't have to worry about having a big bill at the end of our cruise which I really enjoy. I don't think you can go wrong either way.
  2. We took our 9 year old daughter and my father and mother in law on their first cruise last November on the Carnival Victory and we all had a blast. My father and mother in law were both a little nervous about cruising for the normal reasons.... worried about seasickness, worried about being "out in the middle of nowhere", etc. and by the end of day one they were sold and couldn't wait to book another one. We are going again this November. The food in the MDR was phenomenal and we had no complaints about the ship. My husband and I cruise about 1-2 times a year, normally either NCL or Carnival but have also cruised RC and thought the ship was just fine. We had a balcony room and were lucky to have a few dolphin sightings from it one day. You'll have a great time!
  3. Hello! We went to Freeport last August on the Liberty and will be returning on the Sunrise in November. When we were in Freeport we did a last minute excursion through Carnival called "Beach Break". It took us to a beach that had a restaurant/bar, kids play area, shops, etc. Does anyone know what the name of the beach or beach club is that Carnival uses for their Beach Break excursions in Freeport?
