  1. I found out you have to log in using your reservation number, not your user id and password. Won't let me do anything on the safety yet, guess I have to be closer to the cruise
  2. really, on Royal I can watch it any time before I go. Guess I will figure it out if the App ever works. I still cannot get into it, says they are having server issues.
  3. I will watch the video before we go, IF I can ever get into the app. All I get is "we are having server difficulties, try back later"
  4. not anymore. You walk up, get you boarding pass scanned, they ask if you watched the video, and you are good to go. We love it. We go the minute we are on the ship and get it done. Takes less than a minute.
  5. great, that is what I wanted to hear. So we should be able to do muster as soon as we get on the ship and get it over with.
  6. Have not cruised Princess in a really long time, well before Covid. What is Muster like now? Is it like Royal where you just go and check in or do they still herd you like cattle at a certain time? Just want to know what to expect.
  7. I just looked for our Wonder for our October cruise and looks like we will have the bed by the balcony-YEAH. I much prefer the bed by the balcony, makes the cabin feel bigger.
  8. I have done it multiple times and never have issues. As long as they are across the hall or next to them, it can be done. I have to call to do it, but never have any issues. I never try to have them far apart, always next to each other or across from them.
  9. I have some clients that need a hotel in Miami before their Freedom cruise in Jan 1. Are there any hotels near the port that have shuttles from the airport? 2. Are there any hotels near the port that have shuttles to the port? 3. Recommendations for a hotel near the port? We drive to the port so really don't have experience with the hotels near the port, so anything something could recommend would be great. Not South Beach, but like on Biscayne or close to that area? I think there is like an Intercontinental and Holiday Inn, but really have no experience there so would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
  10. I always take the towels off the ship. Don't want to waste my time heading to a towel station. Only time I do that is if it rains, then I go and get fresh towels and turn in the wet ones.
  11. As long as (under 21) are next door or across from the parents, they can be in a cabin alone. I do this many times for my clients. They just have to be next door or directly across the hallway.
  12. You are right, we live in SWFL and can eat wherever we want. But even then, we don't eat at fancy restaurants. We are more the sports bar kind of people for lunch/dinner. Again, you are right, other than the drink package and extra tips, we don't pay for anything extra on a cruise. We rarely do excursions, we grab cabs and go to our favorite beaches. But if I lived in Alaska (which will never happen lol) I would do what you are doing. And yes, we have lots of stories from all the years we have been cruise, but we have never stopped loving getting on a cruise ship. Enjoy your travels!
  13. I always put OBC on our cruises since we are Pinnacle and with our discount, it is cheaper to buy the beverage package once on the ship. ALWAYS - the OBC is in my account in the app as soon as we are on the ship. So when I buy our packages, it shows the charge and then it shows my OBC to offset it. Been doing this since last June when we made Pinnacle and it works like a charm. OBC you purchase and add to your account will not show up before the cruise, only once you are on the ship.
  14. I always ask for a paper copy, either from our stateroom person or at Guest Services. If they don't have them, then I scan the Q Code and get a PDF copy on my phone. But much prefer the paper copy.
  15. My husband is totally happy with the food in the MDR, in fact, he thinks it is really good. We never do specialty restaurants as it is a total waste of money for me. I eat veggies and salads, maybe chicken once a week. So to pay for a specialty restaurant for us, makes no sense. In the MDR, I usually order a bowl of soup or a plate of veggies and I am good. He eats way more, usually at least 2 apps, then a main course. On lobster night, I order one just so he can have 2, then he is good. I eat his veggies off his plate and I am good. Neither one of us are huge eaters, but we are not 40 anymore. He is 79 and I am 66, so we both eat way less than we used to. We would rather spend that money on the beverage package. But that is why there are so many choices, something for everyone.
  16. Sometimes they are really great about stuff like that, which is one of the reasons we stay loyal to them. Sorry about your mother in law.
  17. We love cruising out of San Juan, probably our favorite port to cruise from. But in 2024 they are moving Rhapsody there, so we won't cruise out of there anymore until they put at least a Radiance Class ship back there. Not spending a 7 day cruise on a ship as small as Rhapsody. But that is just us.
  18. That is why I book my cruises as soon as itins come out. Sometimes I get price drops (just got one yesterday), but lately, almost all of my cruises are much higher than I originally paid for them.
  19. Love Freedom, got off Monday and going again Sept 8th. Fantastic ship. Everything on her is great from the staff/food/entertainment, etc.
  20. On a week, will take usually 4 suitcases. They all fit under the bed or put one inside the other. I want to pack what I want, and never have issues with storing my suitcases under the bed.
  21. Same here! I bought it to wear it. Every night on the cruise or a land vacation resort I wear my diamond tennis bracelet to dinner and such. My wedding rings never come off. Everything is insured, but really not worried about it. I don't wear my bracelets and stuff out in the cruise ports, but always wear my wedding rings.
  22. In 147 cruises and additional land vacations in the Caribbean, traveling since 1994, I have NEVER not worn my nice jewelry, including my wedding rings. I wear my rings, my bracelets, etc. Now, to amend - I only wear my bracelets and necklasses on the ship or around a land vacation resort, not out in the ports when cruising. But I wear my wedding rings all the time, even when swimming, snorkling, etc and my diamond studs are always in my 2nd ear piercing hole.
  23. We go out of FLL and MIA all the time and they never check. They open the doors and whoever is in line gets in.
  24. I never use it for buying sguff in the cruise planner anyway. We prepay our tips, and buy the package once on the ship since we get 40% off for being Pinnacle and online the bev pkg never goes down that much. Since we book on the ship, the SH OBC is already on our acct and it is applied against that OBC. If that changes, will just cash it out in the casino.
