We are just about to book our first Celebrity cruise on Silhouette from Southampton- we are from the UK .

We have a couple of questions.

1 - how much is the WiFi generally? We are thinking of booking the cruise only package as we don't drink much and there is a generous amount of OBC. We would want to have access to basic WiFi. I assume drinks would be a similar price to Royal.

2 - we are diamond on Royal. With the status match on celebrity what benefits do we get?

3 - My wife requires a gluten free diet - Royal are good with this generally and i would assume celebrity are equally good if not better? How is the buffet on Silhouette? I presume the chefs even in the buffet will walk you round and point out the gluten free options or prepare something to order if necessary?

4 - could anyone post a link to current silhouette MDR menus ?

    Thank you!

    1) Consider “All Included”.  Huge Celebrity sales right now - WiFi, Grat, Drinks.

    2) Celebrity has reciprocity with RC

    3) Recommend Aqua Class and dining in Blu.  My wife has food allergies as well.

    4) I’d ask in the Celebrity Silhoutte forum or check for a “live” thread.  MDR options have changed recently.

  2. Thanks! By an amazing coincidence that cabin # sound very familiar. :D

We'll be sailing in late October and looking forward to it.

Any other tips on that cabin?

We were in Aqua 1141 aft , could hear the advertisements if we were out on the balcony but not too loud, we enjoyed sitting out in the evening listening to the live music from the sunset bar. We would definitely book aft again loved the view!

  3. Just back from Dec 14th sailing of Silohoutte for Western Caribbean route.

We DID NOT change time for Cozumel stop. We stayed on ships time which was 1 hr ahead.

    Don't worry about it ....

The crew will remind everyone 10 different times when you get off about ships time (versus local time) and when to be back onboard.

  4. We were on the Dec 14th sailing as well. We disembarked at 7:45 AM in the first group (Group7) where Celebrity handles the bags. It took 30 minutes to get the bags, clear customs, and grab a taxi. We were at the FLL airport by 8:45 AM for our 9:45 AM flight with time to spare ....

Carrying your own bags off will save you approx 15 to 30 min per earlier comments on the thread. But with a bit of planning, you csn also be off FAST and let Celebrity handle the bags.

  5. Hi all,

Apologies for hopping into this post a little late. We started researching this issue as soon as we heard that Silhouette was missing San Juan.

    This is what we discovered:

At no time did we refer to this as a weather issue, or an issue with the port of San Juan. From the letter that we shared with guests, "Celebrity Silhouette is currently experiencing a minor restriction on her top speed. Regrettably, as a result of our reduced speed, it will be necessary to bypass San Juan, Puerto Rico, on your sailing. Instead, Celebrity Silhouette will spend the day at sea. The remainder of your itinerary will remain unchanged. We would like to assure you that the small restriction on the top speed has no impact on other parts of our operation."

Just want to make sure everyone was on the same page and to see if there was anything else that we can clear up, or assist with.

Thank you for sharing that update. Are there any planned changes to upcoming Silhouette sailings (say Dec 7 / 14th cruises) that you can share with the board? Will the "small restriction on the top speed" affect the Western Caribbean intineraries, and if so, what is the revised port schedule?

    Thanks in advance!

    Keith
