  1. I email my PCC and alway get a quick and useful response. It doesn't matter whether it is for a quote, question, or change to a reservation.
  2. That is an issue with the United credit card, but not with the Delta credit card. I often pay for my Delta flights with non-Delta credit cards, especially for work. I still get the free checked bag benefit for myslef and others in my party as long as I have the e-ticket linked to my frequent flyer account.
  3. The answer will vary by airline, but I was surprised to discover that even though my Delta Airlines ticket was a heavily discounted "V" fare class, I was still able to upgrade once it was ticketed. I was also noticed that the ticket cost plus the upgrade fee ( if I paid in cash instead of miles) was much less than if I had originally booked the premium economy seats through Flightease. As an example, I paid $216/ ticket. An upgrade to premium economy is $99 for a total of $315. If I chose premium economy with flight ease, my cost would have been $477. There was a similar saving for first class.
  4. I booked using Flightease and was able to get the non-stop flights I wanted at less than I could have directly through Delta. At 45 before the depature date, I was ticketed. Prior to ticketing, I was unable to upgrade using miles. After ticketing I was was able to upgrade through my Delta account.
  5. I received an email today from Delta that said they were having a sale today. I checked Flightease and was able to save a few dollars on my Delta flight in November. If you are booked on Delta through Flightease with a flexible fare you may want to check your fares today.
  6. Once the ship was reassigned from a European Itineray to Alaska, so we receive $100 per person OBC to switch to another itineray. We found one that was very close to the original. Another time was when the cruise changed to an earlier start date and became 2 days longer. Again we received OBC. The third time, the ship need some repairs, so it skipped PEI and stayed an extra day in Quebec City. We received OBC and a future cruise credit. That turned out to be our lucky cruise. We also got "bumped" a few hours on our flight and received a $1200 airline voucher. Then we entered the "free cruise" lottery for $20 and won a 7 day cruise.
  7. I agree with booking early for the same reasons as above. Also, when booking early, I have been able to take advantage of Amex offers, additional OBC if HAL decides to change the itinerary ( it happened 3 out of 6 cruises with HAL), and also take more time to shop for the best airfare. That said, my best deals were on short notice, 2 to 4 weeks before sailing.
  8. You may want to try Carnival. Why pay extra to be grumpy?
  9. I book with a PCC for the same reasons. The first 3 cruises I used a TA, but the last several I have booked directly through HAL mostly with a PCC. I have compared the saving with a few big travel agencies, but usually have found the savings fairly small.
  10. The last 3- day sale that was offered in June was a good deal for me. This looks like a good deal for anyone traveling during the November, December, or January Holidays.

  15. I laminated both sides with duct tape, but somehow my bags got lost. Good thing I always buy insurance. 😏
