  1. Our first cruise, January 1973 was itinerary driven. Miami to Miami, nine Caribbean islands. $2800 including cruise, airfare and spending money. Every one of our cruises has been itinerary driven, Quebec to NYC, Western Med, British Isles, Alaska, Caribbean ships large and small. First you shop the itinerary and then the ship. Hubby likes Regent.
  2. Very happy for you Wendy. We may end up in the "same boat" (pun intended) - no future travel and just making renovations.
  3. pappy1022 - Congratulations on your 50 year wedding anniversary. It is an extraordinary milestone. My husband and I are also celebrating 50 years on May 3. We were on the May 11 Navigator in a large suite. I would prefer not to give many thousands of dollars to Regent, having sailed with them several times before in smaller accommodations. I will be patient. I have already alerted my credit card company as the first step with a note in my account.
  4. I too agree about the horrendous non-service from Destination Services. It is definitely the worst part of the Regent experience. I have wasted more time fixing their mistakes, specifically in the corporate office pre-cruise. Onboard the staff are mostly well organized, helpful and courteous.
  5. I have been reading the posts for a couple of weeks now. Thank you so much to all of the people who have contributed. I get more info here than from our TA (none from TA). Our cruise on the Navigator scheduled for May 11 is still a go - has not been cancelled - even though other cruise lines have cancelled up to June 30. Regent, do the right thing.
