  1. It's unlikely you'll be able to track your drinks but as previously stated, 3 drinks a day pretty much covers trhe gratuities you pay for the FAS drinks. You will be able to access your onboard account on your TV and the NCL App during your cruise. You can also get a print out from guest services. I recommend checking it regularly because mistakes do happen and they're easier to correct while onboard. The onboard account information will disappear late on your last night and you will receive an email with the complete breakdown from NCL. Many people don't realize the NCL email is not the usual promotional email so keep your eye out for it. Also, the internet minutes expire the last night of the cruise which isn't generally an issue if your final port is in the US but may be problematic if you're cruising overseas. Enjoy!
  2. That works for sea days but what about port days? Is the casino bar open when the casino isn't?
  3. If you're referring to my comment, it's true. He posted elsewhere that we would see him in Vibe.
  4. If you're on the 10/16 Joy cruise, I believe the NCL cruiser who posted the thread about not going because of no passport for his GF had Vibe passes. Hope to see you there!
  5. Don't hold your breath on the credit card refund! Your credit card bank gave you a provisional credit. They'll send the information to NCL who will decline to accept the chargeback. NCL will provide your credit card bank with verification of the acceptance of the cruise contract which identifies proper travel documention is YOUR responsibility. Your provisional credit will then be reversed and the charge re-posted to your account. If you called to advise NCL or CAS you will not be cruising, you may receive a credit from them for port fees and gratuities. They can verify that information.
  6. She cleared customs because it was the first US port the ship went to. Boston to Bermuda is a Closed Loop. New York to Miami is not.
  7. My understanding of a closed loop cruise is beginning & ending in the same US port. I'm on the same cruise as the OP & checked in with my Passport information however, I also received that email notification from NCL today. My guess is it's programmed to go out to all passengers, not just those who checked in without passport information.
  8. Keep in mind that this is valid for US citizens on cruises to & from the US.
  9. My message says it needs a short vacation but the results are the same. Can't login.
  10. I can't login. Not unusual for NCL. They'll get it running again. Their website has needed a lot of help for years! Message: 503 - Service Unavailable. Please check back to NCL.com momentarily or call 1.866.234.7350 to start planning the perfect vacation.
  11. When I started cruising in 1990, there were bargains to be had. Now, not so much. Unless you can identify the quality of the stone(s), authenticity of the watch, or true value of the item that caught your eye, don't do it. If you don't have the stamina to haggle or cave under pressure, you're more than likely going to overpay for most anything you buy. Find a good, reliable, jeweler close to home. You'll be better off in the long run.
  12. My first cruise was in 1990 and I never saw or heard anything about ducks. IMHO, they're a waste of time & money and I can see them being a PITA for the crew. That said, if the cruise line took advantage of the desire to duck hunt, maybe they should actually hide them as part of a scavenger hunt for the kids...
  13. I send clothes out every cruise and have never had an issue. Jeans, underwear, t-shirts, capris & pj's. The only issue I've ever had is getting the laundry tags off!! No shrinkage & they fold them nicely so they can be worn without ironing. I do not, and would not, send any of my dresses.
  14. Glad you got everything worked out. Sorry you had so much grief in getting it done but that seems to be the norm with most call centers. When you're lucky enough to get a seasoned staff member with common sense, they know what they can do, even when policy dictates otherwise, and the result is amazing!
  15. You posted this yesterday as Rant (the post seems to be gone now) & YES, you are the bad guy! Take your cruise & enjoy yourself. If the relationship is going to work out, she'll be there when you get home. It seems you don't have an understanding of what being a parent entails, let alone a single parent. First comes responsibility (work & school), then comes fun. Additionally, vacation days are precious. They're needed for school vacations and unplanned days off from school like snow days. As wonderful as your trip may be, for her, especially since the relationship is relatively new, the burdens she's carrying take precedence over taking her child out of school and time off from work. I'm thinking you have no children therefore no undestanding of the priorities . Her child, and their needs, are going to come first for more than a few more years. Accept it, or not. Your call. If she's important to you, learn to deal with the fact that you are not at the top of the list. If you can't deal with that, move on!
  16. I use wipes all the time HOWEVER, when I cruise, I also use https://www.amazon.com/Scensibles-Personal-Disposal-Purse-Packs/dp/B0060ONNL8/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2RCLYTZ4OBK3D&keywords=scensibles+personal+care&qid=1693703785&sprefix=senstcibles%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3 There's nothing more frustrating than not being able to use the bathroom in your cabin. these resolve the problem without creating a problem for you or any others on the same line.
  17. Yes they will but make sure you check the perks which may have changed before you call.
  18. A friend's granddaughter cancelled @ 50% due to pregnancy. Would she be able to receive a FFC? Where can I lovate this information? Who is it sent to?
  19. The Local is the 24 hour on the Joy. Buffet is Garden Cafe on 16 & there's some food available on 15 in the Observation Lounge.
  20. I agree with this 100% Umbrella's are available for shade as long as it's not too windy and you don't have that option with the cabana. Depending on where the ship is in relation to the sun, you're stuck with whatever comes your way. If Vibe isn't fully occupied, you can move to a lounger but that will depend on availability. Save the $$ and just get a Vibe pass for each of you.
  21. In that case, I'd make the change & save the $$.
  22. If you're past final payment, I don't believe you're able to change your reservation to a lower priced cabin.
  23. Sorry if I confused anyone. I did not consider self-debarkation in my comment since I prefer not to utilize that option.
  24. Walking off your luggage is definitely an option but, IMHO, not worth the aggravation. Long lines start very early and people are frequently standing and waiting to disembark for an hour or more. A lot of people do it but it's not for me!
  25. I was in a regular club on the Bliss. Your'e balcony was significantly larger than mine. The balcony I had would never have held loungers & chairs!
