  1. Yes, fingers crossed. Too good to pass up, seven nights for price of four!
  2. I’ve just phoned RCI to make sure. Just have to pay extra port fees, gratuities etc.
  3. Did you ring Staysure about the new endorsement? The one they sent me doesn’t have any policy details etc Thanks
  4. Ours on Anthem (UK coastal cruise) is £ 79.80 ($ 110)!! Does anyone know if we still get 30% discount as we’re D+. We did on last couple of RCI cruises but these were three years ago.
  5. I can see that they don’t want a booze cruise but we’ve also booked a four night one on Princess and drinks, WiFi and tips are £30 pppn! Like you we’ve not been away for ages and had a few cancelled cruises so booked the Anthem, Princess and a seven night P&O - just hope we like this ‘new cruising’ . Desperate for a break!
  6. On our last couple of RCI cruises we got a 30% discount off the drinks package price as we’re D+, so hoping that they will do that again, but who knows.
  7. Good for you Carole as I’m the same. Just shocked at the pricing!! I’ll definitely get my cocktails in during the Diamond happy hour! Just annoyed as we’ve also booked a Princess four night cruise where drinks, tips and WiFi are £30 per day. How RCI think we’ll pay almost £100 for the same is beyond me. Exhorbitant!!
  8. Well we won’t buy the drinks package but are worried what the actual drinks prices will be. We don’t mind paying premium prices to be on a nice ship but these prices against Princess etc are crazy. We’re Diamond Plus so will definitely take advantage of the free drinks on offer
  9. Can see that Royal don’t want a booze cruise but, realistically speaking, as only passengers who have had two vaccinations are eligible for this cruise I would imagine average age will be 60+, hardly booze cruisers
  10. Booked a four night coastal cruise on Anthem. Just checked my cruise planner and the Deluxe drinks package is priced at £ 79.80 ($ 110) per night! On top of this internet is £ 9.87 and gratuities £ 11. A total of approx £ 100 per person per night. Princess are offering all of the above for £ 30 per night. P&Os drinks package is £ 40 per night with no gratuity to be paid. How can RCI justify this ridiculous price. Their cruise prices are more expensive, which I understand as the Anthem is a beautiful ship but the “add ons” are exorbitant and unjustified
  11. Told me the same. I have another trip booked with Princess so asked about endorsement for that too but we’re told they’ve not looked at Princess yet. I then pointed out that P&O, Cunard and Princess are all owned by Carnival and the reply was ‘they didn’t know that’. I’ll ask again in a few weeks
  12. I had online chat with Staysure this afternoon and was emailed an endorsement to my annual policy within ten minutes
  13. Yes, you’re right. I’m ‘lucky’ that the airline have relaxed their rules due to COVID 19, so I’m able to change flights until September 2022 which is very good. Have also been able to cancel hotels booked either side of cruise. We’re holding off booking anything until 2021.
  14. They weren’t when I booked it, after speaking to three different agents about it!
  15. I’m shocked it’s taken them all this time. Booked it nearly four months ago and we’ve now got the financial burden of cancelling flights, hotels etc. especially as they admit it’s their system error!
  16. Thanks for all your replies. Very annoyed with NCL as we booked this in good faith, called twice before booking, no mention of any problem. We’ve now got non-refundable very expensive flights (not booked with NCL) we can’t use. Will NCL compensate for this?
  17. Oh I see thanks very much. We were thinking of cancelling so this has made our minds up. It’s annoying though as we didn’t book online but phoned NCL and our friends did the same. Surprised NCL’s system didn’t flag it up to the agents we spoke to.
  18. We’re from UK and booked b2b cruise, on Jewel Seward/Vancouver, Vancouver/Hawaii. Received email today saying we can’t do the b2b as it’s in violation of the Jones act. Can someone explain this please. We booked this holiday in February so seems strange NCL only contacting us now.
  19. Where did you hear this cruise is cancelled? We’re on this cruise and haven’t heard anything and it’s still being sold
  20. Been announced all Spanish ports closing at 23.59 tonight. Includes Canaries
