As far as I know, they never left. On all of my cruises over the past couple of years, they have set up in public spaces especially on chic nights and at least once every cruise came around to the table at dinner asking if anyone wanted photos taken.

In Sydney the waiting area was outside
even back-to-back passengers who, at that port, could not stay on board were sent outside the terminal to wait

That's rather generic. Can you provide an example of a port that you have arrived at early and were turned away or not able to check in when you arrived? I only ask because at Cape Liberty, Port Canaveral, Port Everglades, and Miami, in the past few years and about 10 or so cruises where we have arrived early, usually around 11:00 or so (and some earlier), we never have.
I can—- Sydney Australia.

It would be impractical for people to change tier level during a cruise. All new key cards would have to be issued all new promotions applied all new paperwork distributed, and invitations sent.
it just wouldn’t work.

I’m not big on sweets but someone mentioned there may be some small sandwiches
There have been five posts about them in this thread alone

We will be on the Silhouette this summer for a cruise around Iceland, Reykjavic to Reykjavik. Will we be able to acquire Icelandic currency from Guest Services. I would prefer that option over dealing with an ATM at the airport.
While you might be able to get euros, at an inflatedly high change rate, guest services will not have Icelandic currency.

I didn’t know about this! Is it just on embarkation day or do they keep the mini-sandwiches stocked throughout the cruise? We’re booked on Infinity in August and this sounds like a nice alternative to the buffet madness.
Every day not just embarkation day starting at noon when the morning breakfast pastries are changed out for the afternoon snacks, cakes, etc
remember that while there is a charge for the drinks served there, all the food is complementary

Completely different venue on the M class ships then on the S class ships. Apples and oranges really

In the initial post, the OP said that carrying cash around was what was trying to be avoided

If the sushi restaurant is open, you will not need a reservation. It isn’t always open on embarkation day, so be prepared for the buffet.

I don’t know where you are searching, but the elite benefits are spelled out in several places. First of all on the app. Also on the website. It’s 90 minutes per Elite passenger

That is probably impractical because your laundry is commingled with others’

Is there another lunch spot with seating under cover? They will probably just move your lunch reservation to it.

The entire story is a bit quackers

You can be anywhere you have access to the app within the time window for viewing
as a matter of fact, you can view it a few days early but it just doesn’t count until the viewing time opens up.

Probably not. The terms and conditions of most of the shore excursion say that they will go rain or shine.

Here's a case where the situation could legitimately happen. You book many thinks on credit card A on cruise planner. Then while onboard you register a different card B for your shipboard account. Now if you cancel several of the things pre-booked (could be a large sum given the price of things now) I believe it is refunded to your seapass account as refundable OBC. Then if you end the sailing with a large negative balance on your seapass card they would be refunding it to card B which never had Celebrity charges against it. ???
I know OP is talking about something different but I just had the thought.
Yes but that IS something completely different so it doesn’t fit this case

All my photographs of Tuscan only show two-tops against the windows. but the tables are movable, so perhaps they can cobble something together for you.

I really think it never happened or if it did it was a one-off, never to be replicated

I think I’m understanding how this works but want to make sure. Not trying to do anything that’s not allowed. If my sister-in-law has the premium 2 device WiFi package and only plans to use 1 device herself, can she give her teenage son (who is in a different stateroom) the other device login?
Absolutely yes. You can give the login to anyone you choose.

Much to our shock and surprise, we had a visit from the upgrade fairy from a concierge class to a sky suite! Does anyone know how this affects us as far as suite perks (drinks and internet) and CC points go? I’m assuming since it was an unpaid upgrade that we get the suite amenities (Luminae, retreat access, etc.) but not the perks.
I take it this was not through MoveUp and was simply out of the blue?
on your original booking had you reserved a drinks package? A Wi-Fi package?
can you take a look at your most recent booking confirmation and see what codes are there?
-
If you were able to do this once before on a different Celebrity ship (and the class of ship would not be material) I imagine that it triggered quite a discussion in the bookkeeping department, and that someone got their hand slapped for allowing it.

By booking Retreat you’ll get somewhat more than the Diamond Plus benefits anyway.
