  1. Another consideration on this topic is the pre-existing waiver on travel insurance. We paid the $200 for Future Cruise benefit and received a confirmation number at that time. It never occurred to us that the date we paid this became the booking date even though we had no cruise itinerary, nor dates defined. Now that we turned the booking into a real itinerary, the insurance company won't allow the waiver since the policy wasn't purchased within 14 days of the "initial" payment. At this stage we wish we had never signed up for this and we never will again!
  2. A travel agent costs you nothing and they can take care of issues like this for you. We didn't use a TA for many years but we started again just before Covid and ours has been invaluable!

  4. We have been researching the same question. Would you mind advising please about the balcony size in the A1 Concierge cabins on the Vista. We hope that you enjoyed your cruise! Thanks!
  5. Never cruised with Viking previously (but many times with Celebrity, Oceania, Azamara and Regent). Would really like to try them but we are not gullible enough to provide interest-free loans to them! For a cruise in February 2025 they are demanding full payment in December 2023 - ridiculous! Our TA asked about this and was told there are no exceptions........ Oceania must be very happy with Viking's practice. We're booking Vista instead of Mars.
  6. Thanks again for this excellent recommendation! We had booked with friend-in-france and were promptly met by Jean yesterday who took us on a nice tour of Monte Carlo before driving us to Nice airport. He was very helpful and an excellent driver and couldn't be nicer. We will definitely use this company again.
  7. That's very nice of you - thanks! We've just sent them a request and look forward to receiving their response.
  8. Could anyone please advise of a private transfer company to pick us up at the Monte Carlo cruise terminal, take us on a short tour of Monaco and then drive us to Nice airport for a flight at 1.25 pm? Many thanks!
  9. Is there a bathroom night light on Sirena?
  10. They are both valid for one year so don't apply too soon! Our Oz ones were immediate. NZ ones took 24 hours.
  11. Currently on Summit. One child one board, he’s two years old, it’s not him! Just about every cruise line I have been on has had heavy self closing doors for safety reasons.
  12. Please be considerate neighbors and do not let your cabin doors bang. I know they are heavy but it only takes a moment to hold the door and close it quietly. It ‘s startling to have the whole wall and bed shaking upon entering and exiting. 😲 Some of us need our sleep!
  13. Azamara Pursuit uses tenders in Galway Ireland. Where do the tenders dock? How far is it to get to the city center?
