If there is an 11 day cruise on the Anthem before yours sails change the cruise date in the app during that time frame and you should(?) be able to see the daily menus.
On the VOS recently, the beef (prime(?) rib and tenderloin) were certainly a cut(no pun intended)below what has been served in years past. Haven't seen rack of lamb in a while. Just seems to be a downward trend in quality of food offered in the main dining room. I certainly did not go hungry but just getting disappointing.
Canceled and rebooked for same time slot on Vision. Ate lunch there just last week and was able to order two apps and two entrees with no problem. Filet was good and had the gnocchi. Skipped the potatoes on the plate with the filet, certainly a bargain especially with the larger discount offered now. ENJOY!
Royal has been rather stingy and lame with prizes offered. Last memorable score for me was a T-shirt years ago which no longer fits(LOL) Just need to play for the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat!
Just reached the level where I would qualify for the "upgraded toiletries" but sounds like not worth bothering to request if they are not there. Maybe it is a guy thing, but I can use whatever is in there.
Nice thing about those rooms is that the showers do not have the shower curtains that try to attach themselves to you but have the plastic(?) fixed sliding thingy's.
By the glass can(?) be iffy when doing so in the dining room. Though I probably could not tell the difference I like to see the wine I asked for poured from the bottle which will not happen there. I generally grab a glass at one of the bars when heading into the dining room. Selection is always hit or miss at any venue.
I checked in online a few weeks ago and all seemed OK but I cannot bring up the set sail pass on my phone or print it out from my PC. Will just go to port with passport and as much info as I can print out and muddle through the process there.
Perhaps if not been to one previously, might be worth the time if nothing else of interest is going on at the same time. Once you have done this you will may come to the conclusion that a second visit is not worth the effort.
When this stock was considerably cheaper, I imagine many here bought for the OBC benefit and just held onto as a curiosity as I have done myself. It is getting to the point at my age I am not sure I will take enough future cruises with Royal to justify holding onto this and probably should just cash out and pay for a few cruises with the proceeds.
I have been able to get the OBC credit applied to a booked cruise and I believe at the time the only requirement was that the booking had to be made within the past 30 days. YMMV
Your choice. But if the option to get airline luggage tags for the $25 fee it is something to consider., either way I would not do the carry off your own thing.
Dramatic tidal flows do not seem to occur when tours in Oct. are run and I would not care to pay to do one of those to look at the tidal basin with nothing going on flow wise. Will probably just explore the town on my own.
I remember when a waiter would come around after dinner with a tray full of those drinks but haven't seen that in ages. Actually heard of folks not realizing they were being sold and just kept drinking them as the cruise went on not realizing the cost, not sure if this is just a tall tale.
