  1. jctdlt, what a wonderful cruise this will be. I hope you have a wonderful time, and safe travels! I have decided the world cruise will be too much for me...but it's a great dream.
  2. Thank you so much for the information, Feelin' Nauti!
  3. Thank you so much, Travelcat2!
  4. Does anyone know which ship will be used for the World Cruise in 2017? Also, do you know if we will be able to take certain parts of the cruise, instead of the whole cruise?
  5. Yoshi14...me too, LOL Also not into rap. Fouremco...thank you so much; I will look into that. JJPacer...thanks for the information. I do enjoy the '50s/'60s myself...lots of fun memories. neverbeenhere...thanks for your thoughts. Gig103...sounds like a couple of fun nights on your cruise. Boogie Wonderland has played here in town quite a few times, and I have wanted to see them, but haven't made it yet. Thanks for the information. Thank you so much, Everyone, for all of the information.
  6. Thank you so much for the information, Orv, Lois, and ghstudio.
  7. Hi Everyone... Does anyone have any information on any ships that are having a '50s/'60s music theme this year? Or any ship that has a '50s/'60s sock hop night on a regular basis? My brother loves this music and loves to dance to it. This would be his first cruise and I'd love to see him go on Celebrity. Thanks for any answers.
  8. buzzybuzzbuzz...I have been hearing that the Med cruises are very tiring...I will have to look for one with a few sea days to rest up, I'm sure...LOL Your Baltic cruise sounds so great. Thanks for answering my post. Hope your cruise is the best one yet.
  9. Onessa...thank you...I would also like to visit some museums and archeological sights. Good to know about the Fall, and avoiding the heat and crowds in the summer. bencruzN...thank you...I would like an overnight in Venice, also. Hope you have a great cruise. Ariawoman...thank you...I will watch for the review from TerryInOhio. Are they on the cruise right now? That's great to know about the flooding in October. I was thinking of going a day before the cruise, but it sounds like at least 2 days would be better...I will consider that. The May cruise on the "Sillouette" sounds so great. Hope you have a great time. I have been on the "Infinity" twice, and the "Zenith" once, and really want to try one of the new Celebrity ships. Thank you so much everyone...great advice.
  10. Hi Everyone...am considering a European/Mediterranean cruise and really like Celebrity line...I would love some comments on which ship and ports you liked and why. Any information about cruising to this area would be helpful also. Thank you for any suggestions.
  11. Wow! I can't believe the posts from some of you. These people have been through a nightmare on the ship...No toilets, peeing and pooing in bags, stench and urine and feces througout the ship, no showers or washing their hair for 5 days, not much food, and standing in lines for 2 hours to get what they could. Sleeping out on deck even in the rain at times, and I'm sure it was not fun with a lot of disgruntled passengers who were hungry, tired, and feeling pretty dirty and stinky without being able to shower and all. Where is your compassion? I'm not saying that the cruise lines didn't do all they could. It sounds like they did everything they could, but still, try not to judge the people when you haven't been through this, or walked in their shoes.
  12. Hi Jackie...so glad it all worked out for you and Tony. I have booked a guarantee before and never realized that it didn't mean guaranteed. I had no idea that we could be told they are full and we could not take the cruise we paid for. Thanks for letting us know what happened.
  13. jtmalt...thank you for sharing your letter with us. I, too, watched the National Geographic showing on the "Concordia" disaster. After having been on 10 cruises, I also imagined myself being on the ship, and being terrified. I know that I wouldn't have made it if I had to crawl down the side of the ship in the dark, or jump in the cold water...I know we would have our lifejackets on, but I don't swim and it would be even more terrifying. I do think that I will cruise again, though. Something like this happening is very rare, and I do think that the cruise lines will be much stricter with the safety rules and trainings now. I do realize that we will never know how someone will react when their life is at risk. I do hope that you will cruise again, but I sure understand if you don't. I am planning on cruising again, but I know when the time comes to book, I will be thinking of this tragedy that should have never happened. My heart goes out to all who lost their lives, and their loved ones, and all who suffered on this cruise.
  14. Michelle...I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. I can only imagine how horrible it would be. Thank you for sharing your story with us. God bless you and your daughter... and safe travels home.
  15. Hi Everyone! I was on the Oosterdam's sailing to the Mexican Riviera on October 11th through the 18th. I was going to buy their DVD that their photographers made of the cruise, and when I asked them about it they told me to come back on the last night after 7 PM. With all that was going on on that day I forgot to get the DVD. Does anyone know who I would call or write to to see if I could get a copy of the DVD? I did send an e-mail to customer service, and explained about the DVD, and they sent me back an e-mail saying that they couldn't send anything from the gift shops? I didn't want anything from the gift shops but from the photographers. Does anyone know how to get ahold of the photographers? Thank you for any help you can give.
