  1. Thanks for the reply. We are the May 3 Pursuit. When we booked we were told the embarkation would be Yokohama. About a week or so ago, we received and email from our TA telling us we would leave from Tokyo International Port. But interestingly, when I posted it on our roll call a few people said there's always said Tokyo departure. I went back and looked at the itinerary I printed out and sure enough ours said Yokohama. My only thought is the others booked earlier and it was Tokyo so they were not aware a change had been made to Yokohoma when we booked just a few months ago -- and then they changed it again back to Tokyo. So there was no need to contact those that booked a long time ago-- they already had the most up to date port info. I can't figure out why the change.
  2. That is interesting as our itinerary for our May 3 departure was supposed to be Yokohama. I had considered booking our precruise hotel there, but in the end decided on Tokyo. I’m glad I did. We received an email from our TA a few days ago stating that embarkation would now be Tokyo International Cruise terminal. Evidently others on our roll call said Tokyo cruise port was always on their itinerary, but we booked later and ours(and several others traveling with us) had Yokohama. Did the OP actually overnight in Yokohama or sailed from there the night of the 24th and disembarked in Tokyo at 7:30 a.m.? I know there was a follow-on cruise, so I can’t imagine a 7:30pm disembarkation.
  3. Yes, I think we spent about 15 minutes Inside. We were given lots of information about the Basilica before we entered, so we knew what we were looking at.
  4. We were there in October and would definitely recommend it. We ended up going between the villages via train because it was a bit windy so the ferries weren’t running. Our driver picked us up at the port of Livorno and along the way we picked up our guide. She was awesome. At each village she showed us around and gave us information and then we had a good amount of free time. She would have us meet her back at the train, where she had already purchased the tickets and then it was off to the next village. It was an awesome day e joyed by all 6 of us. The villages were still a bit crowded in mid-October and we were told the summer months are packed.
  5. Thank you so much!
  6. I would love to have the Harosaki Castle DIY from Aomori. We will be there in May.Thanks!
  7. We just completed 3 B2B cruises in November. They were booked separately - and even with different TAs. We had a lot of OBC on the first cruise and not so much on the 2nd one, but it all rolled over from the first to the last cruise. We clarified it with guest services a few days before the end of the first cruise and we were assured it would roll over to the follow-on cruise.
  8. I think we’re doing the follow-on cruise, about the same itinerary in reverse. We just booked it so I’m just starting my research.
  9. Thank you. I called Azamara a few days ago and got the same information.
  10. I just called Azamara and the rep said it was in the cruise documents sent out to me, but then realized it wasn't-- only day of embarkation number in case of travel emergencies. After putting me on hold for a while, she found the number for me. The number is specific for Azamara Onward, is available 24 hours a day and incurs a $7.95 per minute charge. The number I have is for calls originating in the US: 866-459-8990
  11. Does anyone have emergengcy contact phone numbers for Azamara? I would like to leave that information for family memebers to be able to reach us if necessary. Other cruiselines we have sailed with have that in the cruise documents. TIA
  12. Ours is a few weeks earlier.
  13. We’re doing that with Spain Day Tours in a few weeks. They will book the Alhambra tickets for you in advance.
  14. We booked with bellaitalia tours for a private excursion from Livorno tomCinque Terre for our upcoming trip.
  15. Are you still able to get the Azamara Circle discount with the offer?
  16. I’m happy you had a good experience. We have booked several with them for our cruise in the fall. And I agree, Cristina has been great so far.
  17. We first cruised with Windstar about 2 years ago, and have been on 2 more since then. We have also cruised with O. We really enjoyed WS. Yachts only have about 300 passengers and sailing ships about 200. The motor yacht cabins are so much larger- OV cabins are 275sq ft. With nice bathrooms and walk-in closets. The downside is the balcony cabins are just French balconies. The highest category cabins have real balconies. Specialty restaurants included- you reserve when you board. We’ve experienced friendly staff. In fact on the last cruise, the captain had breakfast and sometimes lunch in the terrace and always joined passengers at their tables. They have a great bbq night on the deck, weather permitting. One time it was held in the dining room because of bad weather.
  18. We were there about a year ago and also stayed at the Skuggi Hotel. It was a few blocks from the city center, but we don’t mind walking. The breakfast was very good. We booked our own flights and booked a shuttle with Air Direct. I can’t remember the price but it was very reasonable. Choose the option for hotel drop off. We weren’t sure how long it would take us to get luggage and clear customs, so we booked a shuttle time over an hour an d an half after arrival time. However, we got through quickly and just went to the Air Direct desk in the airport and they were able to get us on the earlier shuttle. However, get there quickly, because the people behind us had to wait for their scheduled time because the van was full. We booked a Golden Circle tour and a walking tour pre cruise. It was an awesome trip. Enjoy!
  19. Hello I have so enjoyed your posts. I noticed that your next cruise leaves from Nice/ Monte Carlo. Have you worked hotel/ transportation logistics yet? We will be doing the same in October and are just starting to look at the options. We’re not sure if we’ll get a hotel pre cruise in Nice or Monte Carlo, but are leaning towards Nice.
  20. We will also be on Onward in October. Please post if you find anything to do there. I haven't found mucha and the few ship excursions don't really interest us.
  21. When will you be there? We would also like to rent bikes, so would love for you to post your experience? Thanks!
  22. Thanks so much. I will check out these tours. I appreciate your help so much!
  23. Did you end up going with Ato on Fakarava. I am having a hard time finding excursions for our upcoming cruise. Do you have recommendations for Ranigiroa, Moorea, Raitaea, Nuku Hiva?
  24. I know you are asking about 404 , but we had friends in 403. Their cabin was the same size as ours, but configured a bit differently. They couldn't see the tv from the bed, if that matters. They also had a lot of anchor noise when we were tendering. But, they said it wouldn't be a deal breaker if they got that cabin again.
  25. We were just there yesterday and it was rainy and foggy. We did take a bus tour that we bought tickets for in town. Because lots of the upper roads were closed, we only went to two viewpoints, one being the waterfall. We met some people there who walked there from the cruise ship They had to walk on the side of the road and it often didn’t have much shoulder area. It is a steep walk, but doable. There were several mini rental cars still available when we were there. You can’t miss them, they’re right in the town center.
