I doubt if anyone can give you a definitive answer.  Promos and sales come and go and, to be honest, they sometimes are more hype than substance.  They change the name and take away or add different perks, but usually it boils down to the same old same old.  Better perks?  Yes, but higher cruise fare.  Lower fares?  Yes, but lose some perks.  You just have to wait and see and check the website frequently because you never know when a real sale or a better promo might  just pop up and you need to be ready to book.

My advice is get a Princess Cruise Vacation Planner or a reliable travel agent to help you navigate the whole process.  They are your best bet to getting the most bang for your buck and you won’t have to sit on hold for an hour waiting to talk with a rep.

    Good luck!

Thanks for your answer,  I appreciate it

  2. Hi everyone.  I just got on Princess website and they are offering 40% discount on cruises.  I know every quarter or so they off cruise fare discounts, extra onboard credit, low deposits.  So when should I expect a new promotion as I am looking to book a family cruise in Dec 24.  Thank you very much for any and all replies

Maybe it's just the time we go to the Retreat (about 7:30 PM) but the Bartender just isn't as attentive as other lounges whether Michael's Club or Retreat.    Patrick is a superstar and very responsive.   The bartender seems to spend more time stocking things than taking care of customers and most of the guest have to go up to the bar and pickup and order their own drinks.

Now superstar bartenders like Cranston on Reflection always has an eye on every glass in the room and you never even have to ask for a refill.

So far I've also been underwhelmed with the Retreat Hosts -  Most hosts walk around and act like a host.    I think we have only spoken to them once and we are on day 3.   They have a tendency to all 3 standing around together at the podium.   Last night just as we arrived all 4 of them walked out at the same time at 7:30 and didn't come back until 8:00PM.    Really not complaining but just not the inviting feel we have had on other ships.   Maybe it's an E-Class thing.   Or maybe an Apex E-Class thing.

I will have to say I've never see so many guests using the Retreat and Retreat Sundeck.

Sorry you are not receiving top notch service in Retreat.  I was on Apex in Mar and the Retreat hosts and bartenders were on top of everything.  We never waited for anything.  Hope it improves for you. Cheers

  4. If you want to be at theme park at sea book Royal.  If you want relaxing and upscale experience book Celebrity Edge.  Just returned from Celebrity Apex and learned two things.  This was my first Celebrity cruise.    Ship designed very nice.  Lots of quiet areas on the ship and crew was excellent.  I would not book a cruise during spring break.  Lots of kids and teens on my cruise.

  5. if you book a refundable deposit and cancel you would get your deposit back. Once you book onboard you can move this reservation to your personal travel agent.  If you book non refundable then you would not get deposit credited back to your card.  The difference between refundable and non refundable is about $600-700 depending on length of cruise

If you are talking about being revolutionized, the answer is no, the whole program is on hold until Celebrity has some cash reserves. Last year white at a regular maintenance dry docking she did receive the blue hull painting. She still has no retreat deck or lounge upgrades.

    Thank you for the feedback
