Help me out on this. I am looking at a cruise for March 2018. Carnival website says there are only 5 cabins available midship balcony. I went on Cruise.com and it says the same cabins are available. Is it truly possible that the ship is so booked already? We have friends who can't commit till end of October. Do you think there are more cabins than what they say? Thanks.

We also missed Grand Turk on March 15th! So bummed. Will e-mail Nathan tomorrow and call him now that we are home. Hope we don't have any problems with refund.

Do they have a web site?? I do have their phone #, but can't seem to find their web site.
Thanks

Hey there, We went to another bar right in Cockburn Town, and the "bar" at the light house where I had a Turks Head. Jack's Shack was the best. We did not go to the conch graveyard because I couldn't really remember where it was, and the bad map they give you is no help, but I am sure if I would have asked a local, they would have pointed me in the right direction
Faster to the Fun is the program where you essentially pay $50 per stateroom for the benefit of being platinum - You get on the boat first, you can get off first, you have a priority line at Guest Services, and if you tender you get priority tender (No tendering on this cruise). It was certainly worth it.
The informal meet and greet was I believe at 2:00 at the aft pool bar.
You don't pay taxes on the program itself. It comes to $691. You pay taxes on the drinks you get while in port. So you will see charges for 63 cents or so on your drinks on you Sign and Sail account. You will pay taxes in Miami and in San Juan. I don't believe we paid in St. Thomas.
Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, Ask away!
When you had the golf carts in Grand Turk, were you able to just park it somewhere and walk around or go into a bar?

I was so excited to see your review. We are going on the same cruise on March 10th. We are even doing the golf carts in Grand Turk. Did you go to other bars besides Jacks Shack? Did you go to the conch graveyard?
How much does "faster to the fun" cost. Never heard of it?
What time did you do your meet and greet on the first day? We are trying to decided what time to do it.
When you signed up for the cheers program, where you still in port? Did you have to pay local taxes on that?
Thanks for all the pictures. I am so excited!!

We just got back earlier in january, when we went to GT we headed straight to the crew bar. Hung out with the owner for most of the day! She is awesome. Didn't half to pay for chairs, pool was great, food amazing. You must try the Conch Fritters, so good i got a second round right before we left! What an awesome place...All the drinks were great, beers a very reasonable price!
We are renting a golf cart to see the island...go to lighthouse. Do you know where the conch graveyard is? We also plan on grabbing a drink at Jacks Shack, Village Bar and now looks like Crew Bar may be another stopping place. Where is the Crew Bar? Will it be easy to spot? Is it near Jacks or Village? Thanks.

Here I sit in the aftermath of a big Iowa snowstorm with a 102 temp and guilt for not being at work :(... Just as well plan my trip :)
I am looking for recomendations for a party cruise (not a carnival excursion) in St Thomas in December. We enjoy snorkeling...beaches...relaxed atmosphere...all-inclusive would be great but not a deal breaker :p Please share your experiences.... Thanks a bunch!!
I haven't heard of one in St. Thomas, but I know there is one in Nassau

That is my thought too..So glad we did it though..it was a great time!!
What did you do using the golf carts? Where did you go? What did you see? Was it easy to nagivate around the island? Thanks. We are doing this in March.

Debbie, slightly off topic, did you end up doing Wings over Kauai? Does my memory serve me correctly that this was your plan?
We did do Wings over Kauai and it was terrific. The people so very very nice and the trip was outstanding. We saw so much for the air. The plan does not go into some of the crevices that a helicoper can, but we saw many waterfalls. It was beautiful. They take your picture before your flight and when you are done, they give you a CD with your picture on the front and highlights of your trip. Now it isn't "your" trip exactly, but similar. The CD does not even come close to all you see. I would recommend this tour!!

Ken was very prompt.....but we got tied up in the restaurant. We called him and told me were on our way and apologized. He was waiting for us with 2 other couples who were very nice. We went to the volcano national park (make sure to bring a sweater it was chilly) He talked to us about the volcanos and the different kinds of rocks while we tour the museum. Other tour groups stopped to get in on Ken's information. We did some short hikes, saw some waterfalls, coffee tasting, orchid farm, macadamena nut factory, went looking for that elusive white pineapple, but could not not one (bummer) He has a cooler with water in case you get thirsty. Some people ate lunch at the macadamena place. My husband and I just got some delicous ice cream. We had a great time and learned alot of things. Not rushed and a small group was great. We also did his tour in Kona, but there was no others in our group.....still had a fun and learned and saw many things.

We used MaryLou's tour on April 25th and 26th and had a wonderful time. On Hilo we had a small group of 6 and on Kona it was just my husband and me. Ken was very personalized and showed us so many things. He had great suggestions for our stops and he is very informative. This was a great tour for each island!! He even made me eat sea salt right fromthe ocean. Very cool.

Thanks for the info. We have decided tonight to go with MaryLou's Tours for Hilo and Kona.

We are also considering MaryLou's tours. Any thoughts? Do they help guide you to what you should see? How long is the tour? Thanks.

We are going on this cruise in April 2012. Can't wait. Planning will be difficult. I already have a large stack of papers to go thru and try and set up our itinerary. Thanks for the review.

An 8K is an extended balcony. If this is what you got with a guaranteed booking I would say you did well! :)
Never had a regular balcony.....what is this extended balcony like? How much bigger than a regular one?
-
Just got our cabin assigned!! Yippee. We got 8K 7179. I found the room on the plans, but wonder what does 8K mean? We are thrilled not to have obstructed view and also to have cabin above and below us. Anyone know what 8K means?
