OP, if you are on the Athens sailing on the 20th - there have been early slots available to embark (2.00, 2.15 and 2.30) for the last few hours.

Think we may be on the same cruise CD. Out of Athens on the 20th ? We only booked 4 weeks ago and forgot to get an embarkation time right away. As we were on Virgin last year we knew to set the alarm for 5am to get our choice of restaurant (last year we were up to 1am Uk time to book, to realise it was 5am). So got our choices this time. Unfortunately our embarkation time was 4.30, but I saw someone on here say to keep checking the app as earlier slots appear. Well, on Monday this week, a 2pm appeared so I grabbed it. I let our friends know, who were on a different booking and they managed to get a 2.30 arrival. So, I’d say keep checking the app during the day to try for an earlier time - you’ve nothing to lose, and it only takes a few seconds. Good luck.

Thanks B. Just checked the app again this morning. 59 days out from sailing. Been allocated a central terrace too, almost directly across the ship from our friends - so the views from each cabin will be different. just hope they don’t change us now.

My husband and I, and our friends booked a lock in sea terrace 2 weeks ago, for a sailing in the Med in just over 8 weeks. They were in the app today and have been allocated a good central location cabin. Nothing showing for us though - hope we don’t get a restricted view, or metal balcony. Not sure how they do it cause we had the earlier booking reference.

I’m just looking at this one too (think it’s to Barcelona though, and has 3 ports we’ve not done before). Have done loads of cruises over the years and our favourite was Celebrity, but did a Virgin, West Med last year and really enjoyed it - very laid back and relaxing. We’re in our 60s, and certainly didn’t feel over aged. Last year we had $900 obc which was spent on our bar tab, casino and a few purchases. The quote I’ve got for this one is very good, but it’s for a lock in rate Sea Terrace - they want an extra £500 pp for a guaranteed cabin. So we’re just debating what to go for.

Thanks for replies. So, if we use up our bar tab, would any drinks we buy in bars go on our cabin account. Then at the end of the cruise we can pay this extra off, using our loot and obc. Wondering if it’s worth getting extra bar tab before we go, as it works out about $40 each per day, which would only cover 4 to 8 beers/cocktails or glasses of wine each day.

Sailing this Sunday on Valiant Lady. Just checked app and see we’ve got 3 different add-ons. We knew about 2, but have another $100 onboard credit. Can someone give a summary of what each can be used for. $300 Sailor Loot $100 onboard credit $600 Bar Tab Bar tab is fairly straightforward , but is there any difference in the other two. TIA.
