I'm surprised that any cruise line would you at a table alone when requested.
-
Condolences and congratulations at the same time. I lost my wife 2 1/2 years ago and haven't been able to do what you have. Enjoy your cruise.

We will now visit Martinique instead of St. MARTin on our newly revised itinerary .
If you like beaches take the ferry to Pointe du Bout which docks at the Meridian Hotel and use their or one of the other hotel beaches.

Been on several cruises where ports were changed due to hurricane damage. Got to St Bart's that way even though they too had some damage.
-
That's what I thought. Similar to my experience. Thanks.

A complimentary one-year subscription to Travel + Leisure or Food & Wine magazine (one per household).
Is this reneweable or just a one time thing? If renewable how should it be handled at expiration time?

Agree with previous posts but suggest you check to be sure which pier you'll be sailing from.

"no ripped jeans".
So that means ripped jeans are ok on other nights in the MDR?
Wow.
While we're past the tuxedo and gown days, I think this is way, way too lax.
Could never understand why anyone would want to wear "ripped jeans". The only people I knew who did had to wear them because they couldn't afford better ... And then they tried to mend them.
But I do agree with eliminating the formal requirement although it hasn't been enforced for years.

Just saw a blurb on nbc channel 10 news and found this on the Internet.

As others have said I much prefer a less crowded ship.

Yet again, reread this thread. Post #133 for example. The ADA Regulations actually PROHIBIT asking for documentation, and a company asking for it can be heavily fined for doing so.
I missed that. Seems like another stupid politically correct mandate.
-
Shame on Celebrity for not insisting on proper documentation.

We've bought several of Alfred Birdsey's paintings over the years. Unfortunately he's passed away. A very interesting man who brought the first motor bikes to Bermuda. We spent many hours in conversation with him. His painting style was unique. He did Bermuda scenes as you might expect.
I believe he has 2 daughters who paint now but not Bermuda scenes.

Just learned today that a long time friend died September 30, 2014 in Germany on a Viking Cruise. I have no other information or detail and haven't been able to gain further insight. Any information anyone can provide regarding this would be appreciated.

Would certainly miss the promenade should they be short sighted enough to omit it.

3 star and above Mariners should just report in at the muster stations and be checked off as knowing where to report and then be released without having to stand in the heat or cold for a half hour or more. Princess just has you report to the theatre for the drill info and not even see where you need to get on your life boat.
Navy and Coast Guard ships conduct these drills on a regular basis on their ships. They're a lot more aware of surroundings and procedures than a bunch of vacationers no matter how baby cruises they've taken. No reason passengers on cruise ships shouldn't do it too.

Thanks for posting. I'll sail along with you.

When CC was started it was on the M class ships and they converted which was a 1A category to Concierge Class. The 1A veranda cabins were larger than the others. The larger cabin plus the then new CC amenities made it a good thing. Now that cabin sizes on the new ships are the same I don't see much incentive to go to CC, especially as the amenities seem to be declining.
-
I recall when CC class was new they placed fresh flowers on your balcony table after they had set it with a nice white linen tablecloth. This of course was in addition to the cabin and bathroom flowers which were replaced if they got tired.
Cruising AIN'T what it used to be.

Put me down for high.

What the others have said.

I'll be looking for more information. Thanks for posting.

I'm sure you realise that HAL refers to this charge as 'screwage'.:D
Amen to that!

Did they only acknowledge your points or did they actually do something?
US Coast Guard conducts emergency medical evacuation from Koningsdam on Feb 3, 2018

I've been on several cruises where air evacuations were necessary. The USCG always performed admirably. Always gave me a sense of pride to have served with them in the early 1950's.
