I don’t like that the pinnacle class pools are only 3 feet deep versus over 4 feet on the vista class. When doing exercises in the pools there’s not nearly enough room in the pinnacle class pool because the benches cover 3/4 of the round pool. There are no jets other than what come out of the benches or the middle as well on the pinnacle ships. The women’s changing room is also much smaller with only one short bench for sitting on in the pinnacle class.

You can get the FCDs in GBP I believe. If not it’s still a much reduced deposit for a future cruise.

We've found the onboard booking agents are much more open to giving us the exact square footage of cabins/verandahs and also giving us more info than our PCC. We usually have researched our desired cruise ahead of our appointment to not waste their time which they appreciate.

Might be a pre cruise discount- was listed as $399 on last cruise but waited to buy with OBC onboard and was charged $439.

My cancelled shore excursion credit went back to the original gift card even though the email stated a new gift card would be issued so just another reminder to keep track of all gift card numbers until they have been totally expended on a cruise!

We have never had a queen bed on a cruise- we also have one at home and the cruise beds are definitely wider by quite a bit. We have always had verandah or higher cabins and the beds are the same.

My PCC was able to apply some to an upcoming cruise tonight without any issues.

Did cancel a shore exc paid partially by a gift card but balance hasn't been returned to card yet. The email did say they will email me a new gift card in the next couple days so I'll see.

We had Stone twice as our cruise Director when we were on the Prinsendam. She did a great job. She left HAL in 2019 and just returned this spring for this Alaska season. They put her on this ship and she told us that everything is different from when she worked for them before. I don’t think she realized how many changes had been made post Covid. When you get a chance to sit and just chat with her, she is very personable and we’ve enjoyed having her on this cruise. I know she has faced a lot of vitriol, and told us that she has had to develop a thicker skin.

For those going on the 2025 cruise, the trolley tours are in nice full size coaches. Plenty of legroom and nice seats. I was on the golf excursion and they used them to transport us back-and-forth to the course. My wife had changed from the trolley to the coach tour Around Prince Rupert, thinking that the trolleys were those little small touristy train cars that you see in some places and she regretted that.
