That was exactly my issue. Significant price drop on my September cruise, was told no, for new bookings only. I tried to explain to them I could just cancel and rebook so why not just refare? I ended up telling them to cancel and I immediately went online and booked it again with my original cabin. Such a waste of time. Keep in mind you can lose OBC or other perks if you do this so be sure it’s worth it first.

I always book on the Princess website. When my brother sails with me, he loves the aft premium balconies. I’ve been looking at a couple of different cruises and cannot get those cabins availability unless I put in 3 guests. Ugh!

Not to mention you can hardly hear them because of all the household loud conversations going on or kids running around screaming. Unbelievable and so frustrating.

Exactly! The best thing to do is just cancel and rebook. Those call center people have no clue.

I think that is when we will see more and more AI take over many jobs.

This has been discussed before. I’ve had the same issue. For some odd reason the balconies don’t show up when you put in 2 guests. I just checked with 3 guest's and all the balconies showed up.

I believe it’s $100 per person for the first two people. I’m sailing solo. When I first tried booking early yesterday, the deposit was showing $400 but I knew that was incorrect. I waited several hours and it then showed the $100.

Meanwhile, here’s a pic of a slice of the Funfetti cheesecake on the Panorama a couple of months ago. I can’t believe I’ve never had this before. It was very good.

Yay, they fixed the deposit glitch and I’m booked on the 60th Anniversary cruise!!! This will be a special one for me because my dad went on the 50th Anniversary cruise on Pacific Princess. I wish we could have done this one together. I grew up watching the Love Boat so this is just awesome for me.

I sailed solo on the Panorama last October. The 2 top tables were probably 6 inches apart. I took note of some of the more private tables along one of walls and asked the hostess when I checked in if I could have one of those because I was dining alone. They accommodated me every night thereafter.

They don’t need permission to do that. It’s stated on your folio.

I know Carnival donates the nominal amount to St. Jude instead of cutting a check. Maybe Princess does something similar.

Cruise prices are very high right now because the cruise industry is booming. Simple supply & demand. If/when bookings drop down, so will prices.

That is why I never order margaritas on the ship, that neon sweet & sour mix and no fresh limes are a hard no for me. I also don’t order cosmos because it’s not real cranberry juice. Straight up dirty martinis it is.

They were not there on my Panorama cruise in October. I love mushrooms on a burger so was a little disappointed.

Interesting. I called Princess last week and tried to put a hold on a cabin and was told they discontinued that option. You can’t do it on the website either. You might want to make sure they’re really on hold.

Was on the Discovery twice and went to Take 5 every night for the jazz music. It’s a live band and each night they played different jazz era type music. It started around 8pm and ended around midnight. It was so much fun. We really enjoyed our evenings there but we are Jazz fans. There is a design flaw though that really irritates me. There is a walkway between the band and the seats in the lounge and it gets very busy in the evening. To me, it’s very disrespectful to the band members to have this walkway right in front of them.

The dining room food was actually excellent on my Panorama cruise a couple of months ago, I know it can be hit or miss but I was pleasantly surprised.

Mine is a stupid one but huge to me and puts a big smile on my face. Once rooms are ready on embarkation day, there is just something about the ship smell while walking down the hall to my cabin. It’s the same every time and I love it. 😁
