    Conquest Questions??6/17/07 sailing #1056

We managed to smuggle a half gallon of Malibu Rum, and a bottle of Vodka without problems.....we even gave the remainder to our cabin steward. (yes, we had some left, only because we all assumed everyone else took the last drink...:o ) When buying alchohol at your port stops, they will confiscate it until the end of your cruise. Most places will deliver it directly to your ship via cabin number, but you still won't receive it until your last night. Our two bottles mixed discreetly with the free punch saved us about $400 in cocktails!! Good Luck!!!:D
  2. Just got back from Carnival Conquest May 13-May 20th. My wife and I loved it, loved cruising, and are hooked for life! We went to Jamaica, Grand Caymans, and Cozumel. If your looking for a great excursion, and really inexpensive....I found Moby Dick Tours on line (www.MobyDickTours.com) and had the greatest time for less than half the cost of the regular Carnival excursions. Don't let appearances fool you! There bus is classic "old school" but was great. The guys on the boat, Zak Canada the captain, and William Italy the crew member, were hilarious, informative, and had such a laid back attitude, that we are still stunned that it was only $35 for 3-4 hrs. We got to snorkel, and swim with the stingrays, all the while Zak and William were in the water with us, laughing with and at everyone, but making sure everyone learned something, and got enough time to take pictures and "meet" the rays!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHECK THEM OUT!! The "boat" as I like to annoy my fellow travelers with, was beautiful, the staff, (other than a few of the photo staff) were great, and the other guests seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. Look forward to next year, to who cares where.....!!
