  1. might be worth getting a Simplicity card just to buy the gift cards
  2. I agree with this -- good beer --- but I did not try the food.
  3. heck I would have bought you a drink for doing that.
  4. several years ago we got moved from inside to balcony with no notification. I noticed it in cruise personalizer. Score for us. We were using an agent and they were not notified either. Only time it has ever happened in 20 plus cruises.
  5. We always make it to the pub lunch. Had kidney pie there once - figured why not try something different and it was actually good.
  6. nice - my guess is that they are trying to get rid of certain wine or maybe it is getting older. I have seen that done on ships before.
  7. as said voljeep yes -and we have ours held in a trust (not 401k) - as long as the trust name has your name in it you are good
  8. Carnival paired us with a Hispanic speaking couple and another couple that never showed up in the 4 night cruise - communications was very limited but the food was so bad no one lingered after supper. Seemed like nice people but we could not really communicate.
  9. 1992 Nordic Empress ---- fell in love with cruising -- RCCL brought it back as the Empress of the Seas --- maybe we need to cruise on it again
  10. I sometimes have to get off the elevator when people get on with overly strong scents
  11. Flew Dallas to Ft Lauderdale one time - Airline came on and said normally they board family first but since flight was going to Disneyland area let's face it everybody was family so not doing it --- worked for us as we were just 2 people going on a cruise.
  12. thanks for the info We have told our kids that once we are both gone then take a cruise and drop our urns together in the ocean. Hopefully this will be many years from now. Wife's father was buried at sea a few years ago having served on the Enterprise during WW2 - her mom is nervous about it as "she does not want all the fishes swimming around her".
  13. According to deck plans on Celebrity website it appears 1100 is on deck 10 and not deck 11 on Eclipse
