  2. If paid for by CC than refunded to credit card....if refund exceeds amount paid by credit card than that difference will be returned to your credits to be used on another excursion (if SM) or on anything onboard (if not SM credit)

Not in bars but yes with room service during dining venue hours - ie. - you order lunch or dinner via room service along with a glass of wine....we have found that as long as we order some sort of food item along with the wine/beer during the hours GD, Waves and Terrace are open we have not been charged for the wine/beer
  5. yes - it is easy to check as they can just go go their final cruise summary email and there will be a pdf of the shore excursions they confirmed and paid for...if all of them are there, go and print off and take to Destination Services. Sometimes, what people say and what actually occurred are bit different due to misunderstanding of procedure....
  6. We just finished booking our excursions for a Riviera B2B2B OCT/NOV 24 and all excursions were available except for first day in Istanbul and a chef led tour in Marseilles. The comprehensive all day Istanbul was full. We already have booked a private 2 day tour so did not matter, There were 15 other excursions available in Istanbul so plenty of choices. As with all other important paperwork, we always take a copy of our pre-booked and paid for excursions with us. I have found some people are unaware that just putting an excursion in your "cart" does not actually complete the process. You actually have to "check out" to book the excursion.

  8. SM is 2 separate accounts with 1 device on at a time for each account. Each person in a cabin creates their own account.

The phone line for American Queen Voyages is now a voice message that states the following: "American Queen Voyages has made the difficult decision to shut down and all future cruises have been canceled. Guests and customers should expect to be fully refunded for canceled cruises." Impacted guests are directed to visit www.aqvrefunds.com, however, that currently leads to a broken website that says access denied
  10. This just was announced today so need to see the dust settle and if people really get their refunds and if they pay the travel agents the commissions owed.....it took 2 years for Crystal to get straightened out and lots of clients and travel agents never saw any money.

  12. I doubt they are going to have the ship empty for those months while it sails around Africa. It takes some time to come up with ports, itineraries, etc. There will be some new itineraries with great pricing in the future...

  16. On Oceania the only time when "Guarantee" is shown is when there are no specific cabins available to book....so not a choice like on other cruise lines. Options are book a specific cabin and then when no specific cabins left Guarantee is shown and then when no Guarantee cabins left book Waitlist.
  17. Since your cruise isn't until Sept and you received the email on Friday before a 3 day weekend, I would wait until the middle of next week before assuming that O is not refunding your money, etc.
  18. yes - you will have 2 separate WIFI accounts. Each person in the cabin needs to set up their own account. There has been some confusion thinking it is one account with 2 sign ins which is not how is works.
  19. If being entertained with multiple options until late at night, then Oceania would not be a good fit
  20. Since FDR founded Oceania, he is treated royally on all their ships....he just handed the reigns over to his son last May during the Vista christening.
  21. All non-alcoholic drinks are included - coffee drinks, soda, mocktails,etc. There might be some exceptions like an alcohol free liquor, wine or beer.
  22. You will need to let Oceania know that you will be off the ship and provide contact information in case they need to contact you with a change of schedule, docking, etc.
  23. I think it depends upon the itinerary as we have been able to have door opened on some ships/itineraries but not on others...just my thought

Thankfully our TA is on top of the sales and lets us know with each sale that comes up for a cruise we are booked on, the pluses and minus so we can decide if it is in our favor to rebook.reprice. We have never booked cruise only so can only compare our past cruises under OLife (no air) and now under SM (no air). She spends her time not mine and gives us her perks too.
  25. And you continue to argue with those of us that have a different opinion of the bakery that we are wrong and your opinion is the only correct one. Each time someone post their enjoyment of the bakery you reply they are wrong because, in your opinion, it is a waste of space. I don't frequent the casino but there are many that do so, in my opinion, it is a waste of space but I would never argue with someone else that enjoys the casino and what it offers. During our 32 days on Vista, I found many items at the bakery which I did not find elsewhere on the ship and what I would expect to find in a bakery.
