I know this is to late for this cruise for you, but make a note of this site:

    therosedress.com

They go up to size 5x maybe even I saw a 6x? Not sure. This is the dress I ordered in 4x, I normally wear a 1x, but I can sew, so if needed I will take it in. I hope I dont end up looking like a giant eggplant! Any way it was only 65 dollars.

  2. Indiana,

I use a garment bag for my Husbands suit and will normally put a long gown in there with it. But for the rest of my clothes, they go on hangers.

What I do is put the whole outfit, undies, bra, a tank top, a sweater, a bottom, all on a hanger or two hangers hooked together. Then I will take a couple outfits and stack them on top of each other, then I sort of fold them in thirds, using the hangers as a guide. Then the bundle gets put in my suitcase. I do as many bundles as I need.

This year we will be in Florida for two weeks and a cruise for one week. I plan to bring 7 to 10 complete outfits. The condos will have washers and dryers. And when I have wore each outfit I reposition them in different groups and rehang them.

I even hang up my bathing suit and coverups along with a top and skirt that match them.

If I don't do it this way I bring to many pieces of clothes that I might need, and normally never wear.

My large samsonite suitcase has some inserts to use that makes it a garmet bag suitcase. But I took them out because I can get as much as I need in the suitcase on hangers the way I do it. And the clothes stay neater in bundles. Its the largest size that you can check on an airplane. I also have a smaller suitcase I use a lot bu can only fit 10 outfits in. The large bag lets me put all my photo equipment and photo bags in it. Even my tripod.

  3. I check this thread out to see your photos of outfits, Indiana71. So thank you for one of the more interesting threads.

I really dislike the unpacking, so I pack light. And all my outfits are on the hangers. This year we will be a week in Weston Florida, the 7 day cruise on HAL, and then a finale week in Davidson Florida. I will limit myself to my large suitcase, and only as many outfits fit in it on hangers.

I plan to make sure all clothes are clean and ready to rehang when I get back home to Michigan. We are driving to Florida, so I also will bring a plastic tote box with "condo" stuff. Mainly kitchen items, spices and some snacks. The plastic tote will stay in the car while on the cruise.

I put all the items needed for an outfit on the hanger, sometimes using a hanger that also has a skirt hanger attached to it. I even put little drawstring bags with the jewelery in it on the hanger.

  4. Sorry Boytjie,

I didn't know if it was an add that was only for the op. And yes that does make a difference. I see that they have responded that the card was left in their cabin so perhaps the add is specific to each individual. Probably that would be the case, only makes sense. So I guess its acceptable for them to use the kids as models.

  5. Was it an ad used all over the ship or one personalized card with the picture of their grandkids on it delivered to their cabin only?

I don't think it matters, if someone gives you something, it's yours to use, keep or toss, as you see fit.

I am sure they are hoping that seeing the teaser that they gave yo will make you order from the rest of the sitting. I think people probably do just that, and change their mind and go back and purchase a package.

It's a risk that they must feel is worth it. But the teaser photo now belongs to the people they gave or sent it to. If they didn't want the goodwill of the use of the photo they would have put a transparent watermark on the picture.

  6. I have sold a few photos. landscapes for the most part. I have also sold some other types of art work.

I feel that if the photographer used pictures from a formal sitting to make an add, he or she should have asked and paid for the use of the kids modeling for them. I also have a problem with using children in adds as opposed to adults with out permission. I would have a fit if my kids or my granddaughter was in an add with out permission. Unless they are not likely to be recognized, ie: from the back.

If they sent an add to my home, they gave me that image on the add. I will do what I want with the add and the image that they gave me.
