  1. We ("We" being spousal unit and two adult children) did the Cabana Rental thing January 2015 off the Fascination. A Lot of pluses to doing this and very few negatives. Plus: Fixed location without being crowded by other cruise guests. Rental included loungers, shaded area, beverages and snacks. There is a lot to be said for not having to compete for shade, A/C, running water and waiters. Minus: Can't really think of one. Okay. . . Rental is kinda pricey for a small group. At the same time, you are not stuck being right next to that group of passengers you don't want to hang out with. If you can join up with another group the PP cost for 6 to 8 (or more) is quite reasonable. It was really nice to have a place where where we could come and go as we wished, yet still be in touch with each other. Either way. . . We truly enjoyed having a Cabana for the day. Hope you have the same experience.
  2. On the Elation this week (Oct 14-18) Embarkation Day Happy Hour was at the Drama (Casino) Bar with half-price specialty drinks and $1 off craft beers from 1230 to 1430. The two offerings at the Red Frog ("Red's Special") were $1 off a Beachcomber or a Red's Remedy on port days. Other bars and lounges offered specials on certain drinks at specific times.
  3. Eight days to Carnival Elation. Hopefully the mechanical issues will have been repaired by then. Will be sorely put out if the 5 night cruise to DR and T&C turns into a Nassau trip.
  4. Good Afternoon, Does Carnival place sun loungers/deck chairs on the forward Sun Deck (Deck 15)? Sailing on 10/14 with a JS on the Grand Deck. Thinking that a quick trip up one flight of stairs to a lounger would be quite nice. Nicer would be a bar somewhere in the neighborhood. 😎 Thanks! JDD
