  1. Great idea! How many times have you walked by an empty table only to see plates of half eaten food! Smaller plates=smaller servings=less waste!
  2. IMHO, I should've stated. But I do read the reviews, and many are expressing how bad the buffet food has gotten. So I'm right 😉
  3. They could always go back and forth to the 'food court'..... Let employees serve it to prevent waste and sickness. Make a few stops before you grab your table, lol!
  4. We like to have fun, lol. So these are our suggestions: PV: Our favorite place in the MDR. So much to choose from. We've done this cruise about 10 times, so we've done many things. The ship is in port for a long time. I usually rent a van/driver. We do some shopping. We head up to El Eden (tourist trap, so don't eat here, just enjoy the sites and water) or somewhere up in the jungle. There's a tequila outdoor shops up there, have some samples. If you really want to ATV, I'd do it here in PV. Lot's of mud and water and jungle! Do not book on ship, bargain once you get off the ship. You can also zip line, drivers usually get you a good deal! BEWARE: They might get you a better deal, but it might not include ALL of the zip lines (some places might have 15, but you'll get to only do 10 or so). So ask before you pay. Los Muertos Brewery is a cool hangout, good beers and GREAT pizza! In my opinion, going with an affordable driver (NEGOTIATE!) is the way to go, cuz they can take you all over PV and get you on a schedule. But you tell him where YOU want to go! Sometimes they'll want to take over, don't let them do that. They'll take you to their buddies restaurant, stores, etc. They get a kickback. So figure out what you want to do and tell him! Trust me on this. 9/10, they'll do as you asked. Anyhow, hope this helps!
  5. We like to have fun, lol. So these are our suggestions: Cabo: This is where I would jet ski (besides MZ). Also shopping, tacos Gordo Lele. Bar/Brewery hopping. We did a party snorkel boat once to the arches, we had a blast on the way back! My kids like hanging out at the pier area during the last hour or so before it's time to head back to the ship. Usually Cabo is a short stay, hence the less options. Mazatlan: I highly suggest Stone Island, we all loved it. We've been there on 4 or so cruises and have taken others there. They have all loved it. Hang out at Lety's (Victor's used to be the spot, but word is that he's no longer open, he comes and goes). At Stone, you can do a lot of water sports and ATV. ATV's here are cheap, and you can ride all over the beach! Waiters at Lety's can hook you up. You can also do a banana boat here, jet ski, parasail, etc.! Very active place and also a great place to chill. Food is the BOMB and cheap!!! Head back to the ship an hour or so early and hang out at the bars by the ship or shop! 6. Obviously the buffet quality sucks on most cruise lines, so much food and money is wasted, flu's, noro, etc. shared with everyone! Isn't it time for the buffets to go away and have smaller eateries (food courts)? So much space is wasted in the buffet area! More free food options, smaller portions=saved money by the cruise lines. IDK, it's been on my mind and wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way!
  7. Dollar is king! Walk there, go to Lety's and chill! Simple as that!
  8. Have done this cruise many times. When my children were little, in their teens and when in their 20's. We like to have fun, lol. 9. I crashed the app! Too many drinks!
  10. These numbers might convince me to get Cheers.. Reason being, I'll have about the same amounts of beer that you mentioned, plus water, plus coffee, plus a few cokes.. I mean pepsi now, oh, and a few shots of tequila also. So the package is starting to make more sense!
  11. You hit them all, closer to cruise and cruise filling up. We decided after watching the videos.. We love the water.
  12. I thought I read somewhere that Carnival now allows nice shorts in MDR for dinner now? Am I mistaken? I did my first NCL cruise two years ago and LOVED it! Done many Carnival and Royal cruises. Tired of Royal. Still enjoy Carnival. Doing Panorama in April. We have approx 20 cruises under out belt (also Princess and X). You'll enjoy Carnival, but you might miss some of the NCL perks and the casualness of it. We definately want to do NCL again!
  13. The deck plans aren't very helpful. I'm in 2310 and it looks like I don't have a tender over us, however someone told us that we do. I wouldn't go off of the deck plans. I prefer to hear from those that have personal experience. You're not alone in regards to the plans, lol
  14. 99% of the time we purchase a balcony or suite. Price not a huge factor. But we 'downgraded' to a Cove, not because of price, but because of the view. When we first purchased, we were on deck 6. The cove was a few hundred cheaper. Guess what? We 'downgraded' and had to pay more, lol!
  15. I took a few minors that weren't even my kids on a cruise a few years ago. I had signed paperwork from the parents, but RCCL didn't even ask! BTW, i had my kids and wife and friends also 😉
  16. Can't wait to try the cove. Wife was hesitant, but after reading the reviews and watching the cool youtube videos, she changed her mind. We've tried up high, down low, aft, mid, suite, but never cove. If we don't like, we can at least say we tried it. We were on deck 6, then 8 then cove! No more changes, lol! My poor TA!
  17. We got the exact same offer, but it was under the water park and we said no thanks.
  18. Does 2310 have a lifeboat over it? On Panorama.
  19. We changed to a cove on the panorama for upcoming April cruise. Can't wait. We've done all other types of balconies, might as well give this a shot. Gonna take my fishing gear...
  20. Either or... Close by and no traffic.. BUT, you never know.
  21. I posted a great spot to be dropped off with directions. Bypass all of the lines and it's a quick walk to Porter's. Look up my post. I dropped off and picked up my parents from that spot last week. I found it by accident. Oh, and it's free parking first 30 minutes. In case Uber asks.
  22. I'm sure you can find plenty of hangers onboard.
  23. Out of those 3, CABO.... Some nice parts in PV also. Mazatlan snorkeling sucks.
  24. Double and triple check and confirm that the ship is expecting you!!! I missed the ship once (you can read my story here on CC) and was told that they were expecting me at the next port. Let's just say that I almost didn't get on! I'm not trying to make you more nervous, I'm just trying to prepare you for the worse case scenario. You should call CCL, your TA should call CCL, get names and a name of someone on the ship that can confirm your arrival. Trust me on this!
