  1. I found out on my last cruise that not all travel agents participate in the move up program....this is the US warehouse store.
  2. You can buy OBC. Just make sure you use a different card on board in case you have any remaining balance.
  3. My parents used special needs at sea for different equipment. They needed a wheelchair for my mom. The chair was in their cabin when they boarded in Miami and they left it in the cabin when they disembarked in Los Angeles. I expect other equipment may be handled differently, but they were very happy with the service.
  4. Give them credit....at least they have a sense of humor about it...😀
  5. Me too. Although I did think it might be legit as my receipt said special promo (or similar). My charge still shows pending.
  6. Nothing yet. And credit card still shows pending charge.
  7. That’s what I did. I don’t drink much alcohol (diamond lounge is enough for me). But I drink specialty coffee, soda, bottled water and fresh OJ. I like the refreshment package....
  8. I use meclizine which is the generic Bonine. I was able to get a bottle at Costco pharmacy for next to nothing.
  9. I too, am not a big drinker, but I find Celebrity has one of the best drink packages. It includes all the good non-alcoholic beverages too (soda, specialty coffee, water, etc.). Plus the occasional alcoholic beverages too. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  10. I too was on that cruise. I wasn’t off the ship until close to 1pm and I wasn’t the last. I thought one of the biggest problems was calling people/floors to disembark only to wait in a line on the ship for an hour. That had nothing to do with customs (that was all on NCL). Why they didn’t have people disembark in smaller groups (like the end of a cruise)? There had to be a better way. I did stop and talk to the supervisor for US customs. They did admit there was a delay in getting the manifest so there were some things that customs had to do manually versus transmitted electronically. I voiced my concern as it messed up a lot of people’s plans (including mine), but also took a lot of money from the city’s economy. And I agree, once you got off the ship, things moved pretty quickly. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  11. So glad this can be done. I am on the Bliss soon and just found out work wanted me to cancel my vacation. Since I am pretty sure they don’t want to pay the incurred penalties, I will be the good employee and work a bit while I am on vacation. Not ideal but could be worse....[emoji33] Sent from my iPad using Forums
  12. I live in so cal. Not sure I’d walk with my valuables at midnight from the airport into westchester. There are hotels south of LAX in El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, etc. Another thought, do any terminals have those places you can rent for a quick nap? The 24 hour lounge, recommended earlier, is a good idea too. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  13. IMHO, I would not buy a Rolex or any high end watch on a cruise ship. I’ve seen too many stories of things going wrong and not being able to find someone to help with repairs. Then again, buy it if you like it but don’t buy it as an investment piece (like the art on board). Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  14. I review a map of my arrival airport and look for bank ATMs. I take a smaller amount from there and then find one later in the city, as needed. Your best rate is bank ATM but you need to weigh the fee charged by your bank (many banks have fees). Sent from my iPad using Forums
  15. And for me, it’s Coke Zero. [emoji1] It’s a bummer that NCL doesn’t allow any beverages to be brought on board. I buy my soda on shore and drink flavored water (bring my own flavoring) or water with lemon on the ship. Never been a Pepsi drinker... Sent from my iPad using Forums
