  1. Thank you for all your replies. The price difference in U.K. for P1 against P2 is Only £276 per couple, we’ve been on Decks 5 and heard someone on our last Christmas cruise say that they were on deck 4, thought they had a bigger balcony. We like to walk the prom deck so will probably stick to 5. I thought the cabin itself would be slightly different, now a QM Princess is worth it!
  2. We’ve been on all 3 Queens and have stayed in P2’s but what is the difference between P2 and P1? Is it just higher deck or are they bigger? Thinking of transferring our transatlantic and stay which we’ve booked to New York next year for Northern Lights in November 2021 on Queen Victoria. Thanks Pam
  3. As commented above, it is a long walk around the seafront, we always use the shuttle to get closer to the town. Then we enjoy walking around the area we want. Remember it will most probably to quite warm or hot too.
  4. Yes we added this to our Island Princess cruise for October 2020, after booking the cruise onboard Sapphire Princess in October. We added it on first day it was released in U.K. the £35 pppd charge is added on to final payment so you don’t pay now. You don’t need to cancel to get it. Just as a bit more info, I was checking the price of our cruise tonight, noticed the price had reduced by £1000 rang Princess and for £100 admin fee got lower price, same cabin, kept all perks but our obc was reduced by half. So well worth it for us. Hope this helps.
  5. Yes, we were on this cruise too. Christmas 2018 we did QE departing 17th December so nearly all ports were before Christmas, with Lisbon on Boxing Day. We felt that this gave us a better experience with just over a week before Christmas to enjoy the festivities. The big bonus this time though was Madeira New Years Eve, fabulous time. All in all though we enjoyed, disembarkation could have been much better, we were B3 at 8.30 and the luggage hall was utter chaos.
  6. Had today’s date in planner, rang at just after 9am, straight through to advisor. We’re booked on Northern Lights October 2020, added on gratuities, drink and internet, no problem. As we booked onboard in September this year, kept our obc too. Pay when we make final payment, so we’re happy! Pam
  7. I have just spoken to Princess about this offer too. I wanted to ask about internet free minutes for different loyalty levels. I wasn’t surprised that if our cruise was eligible we would not be credited with those free minutes. Let’s hope our cruise is one of the lucky ones next year 2020, done some Maths and looks very good!
  8. Many thanks for that information Eglesbrech.
  9. Haven’t cruised with P&O for a number of years but booked on Iona 2021. I know that gratuities are no longer required but are there charges for special guest appearances? Or even theatre shows. Thanks for any information.
  10. Thanks capriccio for the information. We are sailing from Southampton round trip to Canada and New England 24 nights, with 5 days across the Atlantic both ways, so we might be lucky!
  11. Anyone recently cruised on Sapphire Princess able to give feedback on internet on how good it is regarding speed, connectivity and is it worth prepaying before our cruise in September? Looking to purchase a package pre cruise. Thanks
  12. Thanks all for your answers, will do as mentioned. Pam
  13. Thank you, ashhill, will do.
  14. Are wine glasses available for your use in all grade of Cabins or is it on request. We are sailing on Sapphire from Southampton a couple of months time. Thank you for any replies.
