    Splash Zones for Swim Diapers?

Thanks. I just need to read my own threads again :-) Duh
  2. I know there have plenty of posts on this, so I just wanted to clarify for myself which ships do infact have an area that toddlers in swim diapers can "swim" or splash in. I don't want this to become a thread debating the effectiveness of swim diapers. I agree with the regulations. It is my understanding that all of the toddler splash areas are constantly spraying and draining pools with very shallow water, which are separate from all other pools. In planning my trip I just want to be clear about which ships do and do not have toddler areas, so we can possibly choose a ship that does. Am I correct that the ONLY four ships that have toddler swim diaper splash areas are the two Disney ships and the Liberty and Freedom of the Seas by Royal Caribbean? Thanks to all.

    Alaska in June... cold?

Will it be too cold to swim on deck? Anyone have opinion on taking toddlers on an Alaskan cruise? I've heard the excursions involve a lot of hiking.
  4. Anyone have advice for entertaining (non potty-trained) toddlers on a June Alaskan cruise on the Star? Do they have a splash area for swim diapers? Will it even be warm enough to swim in Alaska in June? Thanks
  5. I posted this question on a Mexico vacation board (mostly AI's), so it will be interesting to see how the opinions differ on here: Any advice on choosing between a cruise or All-Inclusive resort in Mexico or Jamaica with a 2-1/2 and 5 year old?
  6. Does anyone know if the new "Evolution of Fun" WaterWorks area on the Imagination that is scheduled to be completed December 2007 will include an area for swim diapers? I know Royal Caribbean Liberty splash park includes a smaller area within it where diapers are allowed. If not, does any Carnival ship have an area that allows swim diapers? Thanks

I know Royal Caribbean splash park includes a smaller area within it where diapers are allowed. If not, does any Carnival ship have an area that allows swim diapers? I'm currently on-hold with Carinval (oh, now I'm off). They said there's currently nothing in the works for toddlers but it could change. One more question about "Evolution of Fun" upgrades... does anyone know if ALL the upgrades for the Imagination will be done by December? Stateroom upgrades, etc, or just the pools? Thanks

    Question abut kids and pool

Does anyone know if the new WaterWorks splash zones they are putting on the Carnival Fastasy Class ships will have an area for swim-diapers? Imagination and another (maybe Inspiration) are slated to be done this December. Also, I believe Royal Caribbean has two ships with swim diaper spray areas (Freedom and Liberty, I believe)

    Cruising with 2 year old....Help!

The 2nd poster said "It is just like being at home only you are somewhere else". Which actually leads me to believe that maybe cruises aren't the best option for toddlers? Maybe an all-inclusive resort would be better for now? Our sons is 2. Then cruise once both kids are over 3 and potty trained? Seems wierd to spend time and money on somewhere they'll deem "just like being at home". No offense meant to the 2nd poster-- just my thoughts.
  10. I assuming you'd all say "between 1-3 years" is the most difficult if you're on a ship that doesn't have 2's in the child program? Big family trip planned, so we may not get our exact personal say in which ship we go on. But it may be free for us :) We'll have a 5-1/2 and a 35-month old (probably not potty trained)

    H2O park - with toddler

Just want the make sure I'm reading this right. One poster mentioned that there's a sign by the toddler pool which contradicts what the website says about swim diapers. Both the Liberty and Freedom do have these "baby splash zones" and they both really do allow swim diapers, right? Thanks. Maybe we'll see y'all on one of the ships in June!
