The cost of the food in the International Cafe is always included in the cruise fare. Plus will cover the coffees/teas that come with an additional cost.

I don’t think they ‘forgot’ to inform anyone. I believe they did it intentionally so people would not book before the category was gone. I’m cynical. LOL

It’s fabulous and I ate foods I thought I didn’t like.

They encouraged us to take photos in May. If it’s still the same, here’s some pics.

Churchill’s and casino. Also Deck 17 aft. The smoking areas are nice. Deck 17 has couches and chairs. Part of it is covered. The Churchill’s has bar seating (no bar) and small tables, chairs, and a couch. There is bar service at both places. I think there is also an outdoor area on Deck 7 but I never checked it out.

Mine was right there on the Discovery! I loved walking over and getting coffee in the morning and decaf at night. I had the Plus package but really didn’t need it with the mini bar and concierge lounge. My favorite night was getting Room Service from the MDR and sitting on my balcony eating while watching the Christmas Boat Show in San Diego.

It’s a third party. They must be making $$$$$!

I’ve had a free ocean view offer that didn’t apply to ships with no ocean view. I could take an interior or upgrade to a balcony. I don’t see it as a bait and switch as much as I see it as a lack of understanding of the inventory on different ships. Princess casino department can and should do better, but they probably won’t since they aren’t having many refuse their offers. I know I don’t. $200 is better than thousands.

I did the same, but I did get names and send envelopes. Took $$ the swing time. I did $20 for server and $10 for Rafael. fThe first time I went I was booked in a Suite. The 2nd I was in a deluxe, obstructed balcony and was able to invite my 3 travel mates.

Pre-pandemic they offered plus at a discount and you could pick which one you wanted. Maybe that’s what @rachelfran remembers? I had it but sadly didn’t get to use it with all the cancellations.

When I returned to cruising in 2018 I priced out Carnival versus Princess to make a decision on a short coastal cruise. Princess won because of the difference in Internet (Carnival has multiple plans) and my opinion that Princess included more ‘extras’ like desserts, casual dining, etc in the cost of the fare. Of course this was before plus. I still think Princess is a better value even with the changes. The drink packages on other lines are cost prohibitive for someone who doesn’t drink much and I appreciate that Princess does not charge gratuity on the packages.
