Any info on who's on the Spirit? Going 2/28.

We will be on a b2b in September on the Dawn. The 1st leg is Boston to Quebec City, and the 2nd leg Quebec City to Boston. We were lucky enough to be able to keep our same suite on both legs.:D My question is about our on board account. Do we have to settle up at the end of the 1st week or can we settle at the end of the 2nd week?
Linda
One both of our Getaway b2b our account remained open for the second leg and was settled after that. As with all things NCL, however, YMMV.

Hmmmm... Interesting. I used to always volunteer to lead a service whenever I was sailing and Sunday was a sea day. A couple of years ago I emailed my contact to set it up, as in the past, and was told Norwegian doesn't do this anymore. Obviously not the case, but it looks like something that would have to be arranged once onboard.

We've done two b2b on the Getaway. Both times we received special instructions a day or two before the end of the cruise. This will include your "In Transit" sticker to wear to indicate that you are a b2b passenger. Do not put out your luggage the night before; your cabin steward will transfer it to your new room. You will meet at a specified time and place. Once the ship is cleared you will be escorted through immigration and directly back on the ship. If the ship hasn't cleared all the pax off, you may have to wait a short time in the pier, but separated from incoming guests. You'll still be the first people onboard. I don't know about spa or Vibe passes. I guess it depends on whether guest services and the spa are set up and ready to do business when you reboard.
Another note of interest... Your customs allowances do not change, whether you do a single cruise or b2b.

We've been to both, enjoyed both for different reasons, but Chacchoben would have to be my favorite.
Tulum has beautiful ocean vistas, but the ruins are pretty much just that -- ruins.
At Chacchoben you can still climb the pyramid (at least you could when we were there, YMMV), and see the vista from above the treetops. I loved the jungle. I loved hearing the monkeys. We had an excellent guide who taught us a lot.
Tulum is very hot. Chacchoben is more temperate because of the jungle setting.
Whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy it to the max!

Yes, Princess has awesome pizza, to include two Neapolitan pizza makers! :D

Good pizza is lacking on NCL
AMEN to that!

It's the Sky for me, even though I've never sailed her. Love the lei around the hull! Wish I'd sailed her when she was in Hawaii.

Not a fan of Peter Max -- Breakaway it is.

Your luggage tags are with your edocs -- print as many as you need.
I don't know that NCL sends welcome aboard packets anymore? If at all, it's just for suites.

The thing I really appreciated about the behind-the-scenes tour was seeing how clean and well-ventilated everyplace was. I guess I had sweatshop conditions envisioned, and was happy to see what a great work environment it is for the crew. :)

Reporting the butler to the concierge is NOT good advice...the concierge is NOT the butler's supervisor.
Hate to disagree, but the butlers now report to the concierge. Not sure when that change was made, but it was true in February/March on the Getaway, according to Anoop Bhanu.

My understanding is that the dinner shows are not included in the Ultimate Dining Package. :confused:They are for the first night only - at least on the Getaway.
Thanks!

I was in Rome in August. And I'm a native Texan. IT WAS HOT. The worst part was the ruins (Forum, Palatine Hill, etc.) as there was virtually no shade. The rest of Rome was tolerable. Drink plenty of water and you'll be fine.

Just an FYI...
You don't fill out the paper for salon services, just for spa services.
Neither time I had my hair done did the stylist suggest, much less push, any product.
If you go on the Getaway, make sure you ask for Larry. ;)

Oh, and for those who believe that the moniker "spa balcony" connotes a special meaning, other than the spa pass being included...
There is another cruise line which features a spa class of cabins, to include a healthy food restaurant in addition to the spa access. You might want to check it out. ;)

I think you've just about always been able to make reservations for a set dinner time... once onboard. What's different (?maybe? still not sure about this) is being able to book them online.

Sorry, Geri -- went back and edited my post after you saw it. :o

It just says Hot Deals - Unbeatable savings, space is limited on these hot sailings

I've had two great haircuts on NCL, and one superb color. One on the Sun, and the other on the Getaway. Cost about as much as getting it done locally.

I don't remember what was playing when we were aboard in February-March (Iron Man 3? I think). There are plenty of seats up by the bar, or loungers around the whole area.
Enjoy!

Ditto what a former poster said -- take Bonine. I continue to take it 3-4 days post-cruise and don't have a problem anymore. After my first cruise I was like you, running into walls, etc.
Happy sailing!

And what exactly is The Waterfront?
The Waterfront is a sort of promenade deck. It features outdoor bars, and outdoor seating for the specialty restaurants on that deck. There is also a take-out window for lunch from Ocean Blue, and a window for gelato and pastries at Carlos Bakery. The Waterfront is one of my favorite places on the Getaway!

Also keep in mind that their points year runs from April 1st to March 31st. I don't know how much difference it would make that your first cruise is 2/13, and the next one you want is in the next points year.
My motto: You don't ask, you don't get. Give it a try! All they can say is "No." <ouch>
